Thats the worst of it all, he already tried and failed. Got a contract with one of europas biggest clubs. Then does it again.
He is finished. His six-month spell in Qatar ruined everything. He has never been the same since then. Rewatch the Uruguay friendly in 2018. Even Uruguayan defenders double-teamed against Nakajima. To be fair, it was his fault. He never tried to learn a single word of Arabic.
Nakajima did not make the matchday squad in the first two games after the winter break. Reportedly he is infected by COVID-19.
Shoya Nakajima with an immediate impact for Al-Ain against the league leaders, as his deflected shot was converted by one of his teammates. He created the goal 12 minutes after coming in as a substitution, and after being out of action due to COVID-19 infection.
Injured in training and possibly out for awhile. He must of sold his soul for those 1.5 seasons at Portimonense.
Now, this is really stinky! I wonder who will be held accountable, if the allegations end up being true? Shoya Nakajima tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of his flight to UAE to sign with Al-Ain. The Portuguese public prosecutor and jurisdical police are investigating the case, with a possible 8 years in prison as a penalty. https://www.record.pt/futebol/amp/teste-de-nakajima-a-covid-19-na-origem-da-investigacao-da-pj
Could someone be more idiotic than this? I mean, maybe we overstated the maturity of the kid. It was never there, but this is too far for everyone.
Porto again mistreat and mishandle the transfer of one of their players. Marega this time. Moussa Marega has been frozen out of Sérgio Conceição’s squad since announcing his move to Al Hilal on a free transfer. In that time span, Porto have scored 12 goals, conceded one, and picked up three straight victories.@_marcus_alves and @ZachLowy:https://t.co/oexSLuz1Qj pic.twitter.com/3j84xzMBBQ— Breaking The Lines (@BTLvid) May 21, 2021
If anything I think Theo and/or Ryuki will be the ones charged by the authorities here. They’re the ones who needed the loan deal to go through. I doubt Porto would be involved in something as ridiculous as fabricating COVID test results, and frankly Nakajima is too dumb to pull it off on his own.
Yes, Nakajima is too naíve to do it by himself. However, Porto are the ones who pushed Nakajima and his agent towards this loan deal by disallowing him access to the club's training facilities when he immediately refused Al-Ain's offer. Hence, both the club and the agent might be involved.
According to Record Portugal: Shoya Nakajima is awaiting a decision from FC Porto about their future plans with him. The article stated that Nakajima has interests from clubs in Italy, Spain, and Japan. https://t.co/0kI0GGbHFE
Shoya Nakajima is omitted from FC Porto's squad for the new season, and he did not get assigned to a squad number with his previous number (#10) already taken. This is assures that Nakajima is set to leave Porto this summer.
Either Porto will loan him out, lower his transfer fee significantly, or terminate his contract. Otherwise he is going nowhere and Poro have to pay his wages without him playing for them. I think contract termination is the best possible option for all parties involved, but I doubt Shoya's greedy agent and Porto will make such decision. Once he is a free-agent, he will have enough time to decide which option will suit him better (career-wise), and his new club will have zero risk when signing him. Any wrong decision this time will mean the end of Shoya Nakajima's career. His agent decisions to go for money were short-sighted and counter-productive as no one now is willing to sign him even if his transfer fee is lower than € 5 million. The positive thing about his two transfers to the Middle East is that his path to such leagues are blocked now. Nobody from Qatar or UAE will sign him, and top Saudi clubs will not sign him either. Nakajima, thankfully, cannot join a Chinese club, as the league currently is on a downfall financially. So, he either will join another European team (including teams from Russia or Turkey) or go back to Japan (if his contract is terminated). MLS might be a third distant option, but I doubt it will happen, and it will not be helpful for him to go to the MLS.
Man, I wonder if Ange Postecoglou is aware of the situation, he knows how to get the best out of struggling players, like the way he has transformed Tom Rogic at Celtic. I feel like if it wouldn't be a free transfer its unlikely, but Nakajima at his best would light up the spl.
I was actually thinking about this yesterday, if only we could turn back time and he would have accepted Wolves offer. How different things might have been..
