Matthew Ryan is easily the best keeper in asia. Very underrated and is looked down upon just because of his height which barely effects him. He is a very good keeper and could play for any top 6 team as he is one of the best shot stoppers in the league.
The belgian federation has decided that the league ends here. This means that Miyoshi's Antwerp will be in EL's playoff qualifiers next season Though technically if Antwerp beats Brugge in the cup final, they would go straight to the group stage. but I am not sure if it will be played at all
Miyoshi signed a permanent deal with Royal Antwerp running until mid-2023: Antwerp lichtte de aankoopoptie in het contract van Koji Miyoshi. Antwerp won 1-0, and as a result booked their place in Europa League's group stage, after being qualified immediately to the qualifying round based on their 4th-place finish in the league. Miyoshi was an unused sub in this match.
Miyoshi played for the first time this season, coming in as a sub in in the 70th minure in his team's 1-0 loss against Morioka's Charleroi. I watched the match untill the 80th minute, he touched the ball few times, and had a very good dribbling attempt, but he needs to improve his harmony and understanding with his teammates to make a greater impact and see more playing time.
It seems like he need to start all over again!? He did make a big impact last season with 3,4 goals. At least I though he did.
Miyoshi earned the foul from which his team scored the 2-3 winner against Sint-Truiden. He came in as a sub today in the 63rd minute, with the score being 2-2, his team were reduced to 10 men 10 minutes afterwards, but Miyoshi, with his hardwork and dribbling efforts, created chances for his teammates from counterattacks, including the one which led to the winning goal. The foul came after Miyoshi dribbled through two Sint-Truiden's players all the way from the midfield up to the edge of the penalty box, when he almost beaten the third player in front of him, but that player tackled him desperately to stop him on the edge of the penalty box, and Miyoshi was deservedly awarded a FK from which his team scored the winner.
Koji Miyoshi celebrated his national team call-up by leading his club Royal Antwerp to a 4-1 win over KV Mechelen in the Belgian league. Miyoshi scored a goal and created the chances from which his team scored the other three.

Miyoshi Is starting again tonight in the Europa League. This is his 3rd start in a row for Antwerp. In the last league match, which Antwerp won 1-3 (away match), Miyoshi contributed to his team's first and second goal. In the first his deflected shot fell to his teammate Haroun for an easy finish, and in the second he started the counter-attack by a scissor-kick long pass which set two of his teammates with enough space and positinal advantage to score Antwerp's second goal.
Really interesting role - Miyoshi plays as a right wingback for Antwerp. Not sure about the last time I saw a left footed playmaker in that position.
He created the chance from which Antwerp scored their 1st goal, before providing the assist from which Antwerp scored their 3rd to secure the win and their qualification to the Europa League knockout stages.
Koji Miyoshi is diagnosed with COVID-19. He is now quartined and missed Antwerp's match yesterday due to this reason. https://news.yahoo.co.jp/articles/23a62e2c1387ed23842af2c3a7d5107c1e153ade
Miyoshi started in this weekend's championship play-off match against Genk and scored the 2-1 goal. Only for Antwerp to concede two goals later and lose the match 2-3. This was one of Miyoshi's rare starts after the appointment of the head coach midway through the season. The new head coach was favouring Jordan Lukaku on the wing and Refaelov in under-the-top role, Miyoshi was obviously falling out of favour. However, as Reafaelov was missing in this match, Miyoshi started as under-the-top and he was very impressive.
