Abe certainly not a "meh" player, but it's true that he regressed a lot than 1 or 2 year before. Best wishes for him to get better of his former self. I think he's more than capable to be a better player than the likes of Kagawa or Inui if he could get his head straight.
You better hope that Abe pans out cause few players ignite a game like he does. We’d have lost a great talent if he gets forgotten there.

He has company. Cornella’s Japanese/Argentinian fullback/winger Niko Takahashi is joining La Masia for next season. Transfer has been known for months, but Niko has been interviewed by Japanese media media recently. https://t.co/TSMpzMyDQT— La Masia (@Youngcules) July 21, 2019
Due to a slight hip's problem, he won't be able to play against Chelsea today. 1153280751179317251 is not a valid tweet id Great start.
Barcelona 1 - Chelsea 2 With this kind of performance from some Barcelona B team's players, I can not see Abe would do anything worse. If his hip is just a minor injury, he should play against Kobe.
I wonder if he'll regret this move cause I don't see how this will go well for him. Hope he figures out Spanish in the next 6 months.
He doesn't have prior knowledge about Spanish the language or culture like Kubo so it would take him more time. In Abe's case, I think spending time at B team for ~1 year is a logical solution for him to get use to the environment first. Also, trying to break into Barcelona A team in this summer full of sagas about Neymar, Griezmann, Coutinho... makes zero senses. After 6 months to 1 year when things calm down, he will have a clearer view for his path. A loan out to decent Liga team is always a good solution. However, if Barcelona offloads about 2 from Malcom, Dembelle and Coutinho to get just Neymar, I see Abe's chance to make it as an option in A team's bench. Because I think from now on all of their star men, even Neymar, will play more and more narrow and more injury-prone than ever.
To even get a sniff in 1 season's time he'll need to blitz the B-side and that'll mean he must make Spanish his main priority cause he probably has the ability to thrive in that level.
Played about 60' vs UE Figueres. Won 4-0. Didn't score. But won a trophy. What more could the people want ? EDIT : Highlights Neutral performance, I'd say. In his defense, it's not as simple to play against these nags.
Goes down way too easy, (not just basing it off those highlights but even when I saw him play for Antlers). Needs to hit the gym. Some fouls are legitimate but he gets pushed over easier then toilet paper
No can you read? My opinion isn't just based on those highlights as I stated but when he was at Antlers he'd be pushed off the ball way to easily. I rate him a lot and I think he can be a class player in the top leagues, but he needs to work on his physicality for him to reach his potential (and not do a Neymar and roll on the ground for 10mins)

Found a video on Barca channel, Abe is called up to train with the A team in a recovery session: Maybe I just minded the details but in 5 vs 5 session, he really looked out of his depth. It's not easy to adapt in this team.

Abe had a good debut and came close to score too. Played on the left Didn't play as a sideback, thankfully.
