Meh, we'll have home field advantage during the group stages. Big deal. That's not where we need the help. As much as we like to think, playing on American soil won't be home field advantage. The R16 and so on will be played outside of Mexico.
Sos Grande Panama! I've been a bitter skeptic ever since we lost in Pk's against Bulgaria. Never recovered. I only have 6 or 7 cups left before my unfortunate death, just give me one semifinal appearance Mexico. Please gottamnit!

I know the point this is trying to make, but all except three players were born in France. This is literally the position racists make to make it seem like children from immigrants are not citizens. Even if well-intentioned, it's an awful argument to make. They had Italy, England, and Uruguay in the Group Stage. Costa Rica didn't "luck out". What players earn with the national teams worldwide is peanuts compared to their club contracts. I think stuff like that shows their priorities. We've been to the 5th game before though. People act like it's this insurmountable barrier, but really, anybody can make it there. The problem is consistency.
knowing a ton of anti-immigrant people myself, that was my first cautionary take for those of us who reject the narrative that immigrants don't add to the societies they join, it provides direct evidence for our position so, not effective propaganda but of value when preaching to the choir and sometimes we need to to affirm ourselves maybe?

Rumor is that Metlife stadium will host the final. Would be epic to see Mexico play a final 45 min from my house.
It's also peanuts compared to what the FMF makes of the national team when they are the ones performing. Good for Mbappe but it's bs to use that argument to shit on the mexican players for getting theirs.
Probably like a few others when I saw those bleacher built outside the Ekaterinburg Arena I thought it was going to be super shot to hell, but it turned out alright. Memo was the best and he doesn't need a trophy to prove it. Oh yeah? Yell out "Putin!!!!" instead of the regular chant word while in Russia? Sure, but you say it first. I'm not too convinced any of these Mexico fans who made the trip to Russia are really hard enough if 'it' goes down outside the stadium, but in a dance off yes.
