Wall of Voodoo wished they were at this game. And wassup with the go90 guy mispronouncing Tijuana. It's teehwana. The j makes an h sound in Spanish.
They aren't selling tickets on the non-camera side for the Tijuana match next week. I wasn't saying anything about the Olimpia match.
I don't know about the Red Bulls, but the Galaxy had $10 tickets with free parking for their CCL games before and fewer than 5k people show up. MLS 1.0 teams are a disgrace.

This is a pic from the game:
Xolos and Chivas are big contenders to crash out vs MLS teams. TJ in particular has a terrible squad.
NYRB and Philly look to best represent the US; at least US youth for Philly. If NYRB win next week, the April matchup looks to be pretty interesting with MLS teams closer to mid season form, and Mexican clubs on end of season legs; seems fair.
It happens to all, we just always remember bad calls against our teams and easily forget the times blown calls go in our favor.
Difficult choice but in the end I have to give it to Robles. BWP's goals were big--they were away goals and they gave the team a huge mental boost. In the end, though, I had to give it to Robes. Without Robles the Bulls could have easily given up 3, 4 maybe even as many as 5 goals. The defense was somewhat shaky but the goalkeeping was solid. He pitched a shut out in Mexico! (offsides controversy notwithstanding). Robles frustrated the Xolos strikers again and again all night long as the last line of defense. Think about it this way: If BWP had never scored last night, but Robles had played the same type of game he did yesterday, the Bulls would have come away from Tijuana with a 0-0 tie which would not be bad going into Red Bull Arena for the return leg.
Getting shots on target and getting the defensive line to concentrate will be key for the return leg.
Robles. He basically dictated to Tijuana that they weren't going to score, and that not only secured 3 for RBNY but also sets the tone for the next leg.
BWP. Having the goal at the beginning put the pressure on Xolos. Also, away goals are more important than away clean sheets. For example a 0-0 away tie actually puts the pressure on the home team next game.
Love to have 3/4 of the semis from MLS. Seems unlikely but NYRB are halfway home. Though they did get a gift of a call to deny TJ a goal.
A lot more optimism in this thread than what I left that game with. I felt much more like Guatemala after they beat the usmnt. Yes, it’s a 2 goal advantage, but TJ could easily win 6-0 in the next leg based on how the two teams played last night
