If we don't win, we'll remember that blatant PK ignored by the referee.

can't watch but I assume it's actually Honda on the right, Haraguchi in the center and Kubo on the left with Osako in front ? Or not?

Yeah Honda has been massive, frustrating to watch as the players seem to stumble or lose their nerve in the box. Second goal will kill this game off, Iraq are looking stretched in defence.

FFS. I know the conditions are atrocious but they are playing such a dangerous game sitting back on a goal lead. In any age category we seem to have no problem scoring first then waste our chances like we're 3 goals ahead.

On Osako in the first half? It was a pure FK and yellow for Iraq player there.

foul carried in the box so it's a PK.

I admit that the ref was shit (as with every game in AFC) however in the first leg Japan's first goal was clearly offside, while the second goal came from a soft foul.

So basically it evens itself out :p Good luck Japan, hopefully you'll make it to Russia.

There was a game where Japan was lucky and now was a game bit unlucky, Considering how close both games were , I don't think one win and one draw against Iraq is not bad result.
If we don't make it to Russia, it would be because We lost to UAE at home and (if) We can't beat Australia at home.

Actually the winning third from the two AFC groups will face the like of Panama from CONCAF. Not the hardest match IMO but the other third asian side can be real tough like SK or Uzbekistan.

No. Foul started outside of the box, ergo it is a FK. That's 100% certain. If you're still unsure, go ask Alan Gibson over at Jsoccer, he's a referee.

That may be so, but the defender is NOT holding Osako inside the penalty area. he let go before they passed the line. Whether Osako is fouled "again" inside the box, or if he loses control over what happened outside the box is hard to judge, but if ifs the latter it is not a PK. And if its the former, the first offense precedes the 2nd one I think? So again, not a PK.
