The Olympic hiatus ends Thursday night [for two teams, at least] thanks to a makeup game for the rained-out match from Week 7.

Google's schedule is funny.... Those are less "weeks" and more like "gamedays". IMO, Week 16 is just the one make-up game, week 17 is 8/26-28, week 18 is 8/31-9/4, and week 19 is a two-game week for all team from 9/7-9/11

Krieger in Washington's starting lineup. Good for her, rushing back from the Olympics. She gets a brownie point from me, after she lost several last year for skipping a playoff game to go to a wedding.

Also, Dydasco at fullback, and Church as a centerback. Church is too slow to be an outside back.

    Where is Oyster?

01' 0-0 Krieger and Nairn probe up wide right. Pass toward box right foot, Brooks shields over.

02' 0-0 Heap misses a switch pass behind O'Sullivan, Church intercepts. Houston regain, pass wide left to Ohai -- offside. Nice weather, low turn-out for a Thursday. Everybody too busy with school about to start?

03' 0-0 Ohai 1-v-1 on Krieger at box top wide left. Cross bounces at 8m center, just too far for Henderson sliding at 6-top right post.

05' 0-0 Heap to Ubogagu, backpass. Heap switches left, poked away. Heap already looks active and pretty sharp.

05' 0-0 Houston left throw-in at own corner arc, Moros to Roccaro -- clang misses Moros, into near touch. That's a soft throw-in to concede.

    06' 0-0 Washington right throw-in at 6m, promptly lost.

07' 0-0 Roccaro passes from circle top to Ohai facing away at 27m arc left, one-touch diagonal pass to box top center sends Ubogagu 1-v-1 just behind E.Johnson. Johnson goes down to knees, Ubogagu digs ball out from her heels, Johnson backs self into shot line -- Ubogagu shoots up centerline, blocked by Johnson's ... body ;) Ball bounces out to arc top left O'Sullivan throws Brooks aside. Foul.

10' 0-0 Williams drives down wide right to 4m, cross cleared out to Krieger at 18m mid-right. Shot blocked, deflects to Lohman at 7m 1/4 left -- cleared. Williams drives down mid-right to 7m, ball poked over.

11' 0-0 Nairn right ck, to 9m 6-left, roundhouse whiff. Houston block it over endline left.

11' 0-0 Nairn left ck, Huster volleys wide left.

14' 0-0 Ohai chases down wide left to 8m, Krieger shields her off and wins a throw-in. Those two again.

16' 0-0 Ohai backs Krieger down to arc top mid-left, cuts inside, shoots right instep bend to Wys. Quite aggressive by Ohai, but a tad impatient and lone wolf-ish.

17' 0-0 Washington are playing compact  with two lines at center circle and circle back, letting Houston stroll up to circle back. Ohai(?) cross from wide left to 8m 6-right, headed away.

19' 0-0 Farquharson passes down box right for Lohman vs Privett. Backpass, Dydasco crosses to 15m center, header drifts wide right.

21' 0-0 Nairn to Ch.Williams just past midfield wide right. Bad 1st touch, Moros spin-shields her off. Square pass to Roccaro, Williams charges her and blocks ball down wide right, chases. Rushed cross drifts way over.

22' 0-0 Dydasco darts to 27m mid-left, sharp pass to Lohman at box top center. Lohman doesn't shoot, meek pass right to Williams at 15m mid-right. Williams has a 1-v-1, meeker backpass to Nairn at 24m center. Nairn shoots a medium-hard roller toward left post low, Henninger smothers.

23' 0-0 Ohai shoots from arc top mid-right again? Wide left low, like a certain teammate

24' 0-0 Farquharson dribbles through 14m box right to 15m mid-right, shoots gentle left instep to right post low, Henninger collects.

25' 0-0 Washington attack to box top left, Heap clears into far touch. Suddenly, Washington has turned up the pressure.

25' 0-0 Washington left throw-in at box top. Krieger chips from 28m center, tails off wide left. Nairn, 1-v-1 on Brush, gets left forearm/chickenwing caught in Brush's chest as she goes down. Nairn slumps down at spot -- stays seated, holding left shoulder. Rolls over onto back. Stoppage, trainers.

28' 0-0 All get water. Nairn walks into near touch.

30' 0-0 Lohman steals from Moros at circle back wide right. Farquharson counters through circle top, passes to Ch.Williams at arc top mid-left. Williams drives past Privett, bumped at 13m and faceplants. Foul, penalty. Nairn returns.

31' 0-1 Nairn pk, left instep to back left low, under Henninger's hand.

33' 0-1 Nairn left ck, inswing to 5m 1/3 left, Stengel heads it away to 12m right post. Williams heads it back to her, Stengel glance-heads down to 1/5 left -- Henninger runs across and grabs it off the post defender's legs.

34' 0-1 Farquharson left throw-in at 12m, to Stengel. Backpass to Nairn at arc top box left, quick pass to Lohman cutting down to 11m mid-left. Turn-and-shoot stays wide left low. Washington have all the pressure, Houston haven't sniffed center circle in a while.

36' 0-1 Washington steal at wide left, Farquharson counters down to 12m, cross blocked over.

37' 0-1 Nairn left ck, cleared to arc top. Dydasco runs on and shoots high.

45' 0-1 Ohai taps up left touch past Krieger caught high at midfield, rounds her on the inside, runs past Krieger's crafty try to pull her back or armbar her wide -- dribbles to 12m wide left, cross bounces at 5m 2/5 right -- too far for Ubogagu up centerline and Henderson up 6-right. +3'.

45+2' (of +3') 0-1 Stengel receives at 16m mid-right, backpass. Williams drives down box right to 4m, cross to 6-top kicked high by Brush. Stengel does cutbacks at 15m, backpass to Krieger. Square pass left to Huster, she steps to 27m arc left and shoots to left post low, Henninger smothers.

    HT 0-1.

47' 0-1 Ubogagu dribbles through box top left to 10m mid-left, ground cross to Heap at 8m left post. One-touch left foot shot blocked by a leg, Washington clears.

51' 0-1 Nairn left ck, to 6m right post, headed away to arc top. Farquharson standing-shot to center face-high, Henninger catches.

52' 0-1 Washington perfect pass through box top left to Farquharson running on at 12m mid-left. But she never glances left to see defender closing on her, one-touch shot blocked by a perfect slide.

53' 0-1 Washington shoots from the left to left post low, Henninger smothers.

57' 0-1 Nairn fk at 27m arc right, sailed past Farquharson down 6-left, and over.

    --' 0-1 Houston subs in:
    57' (1 of 3) #22 Stephanie Ochs for #21 Melissa Henderson
    58' (2 of 3) #19(am) Tessa Florio for #27 Caitly Heap.

62' 0-2 Wys gk to circle top right, Brooks heads forward toward Florio. Bad touch, Nairn darts past and touches once to 38m box right, chip on the run floats over Henninger backpedaling, into back left low.

65' 0-2 Ohai to 5m box left, cross blocked over.

65' 0-2 Washington subs in (1 of 3) #14 Francisca Ordega for #20 Cheyna Williams.
72' 0-2 Washington subs in (2 of 3) #22 Alyssa Kleiner for #12 Katie Stengel.

75' 0-2 Yellow card on Privett.

78' 0-2 Nairn dribbles to arc top left, square pass to Farquharson at mid-right. Farquharson tries a quick diagonal pass to Ordega at 10m 6-left, just too far.

79' 0-2 Ohai sees Brooks's run from box top mid-right, quick serve from 22m mid-left to 5m right post, Brooks hops and just misses.

79' 0-2 Ohai shoots from arc top mid-right, Wys catches.

83' 0-2 Brooks chips from arc top box right with Wys caught out at 8m, but spins it wide left.

84' 0-2 Washington subs in (3 of 3) #27 Line Sigvardsen Jensen for #17 Cali Farquharson.

86' 0-2 Ohai cross from 6m wide left to 2m left post, Wys catches high.

89' 0-2 Ordega runs on at 25m mid-right, waist-high right instep chip past Henninger charging out. Brush(?) chases it to right post -- it bounces juuust wide right. Whew. She probably had time to slide-hook it away, but saw it wide.

90' 1-2 O'Sullivan turns at circle center, chips up mid-right for Ochs outsprinting Dydasco. Ochs drives to 7m mid-right, cross to 5m 1/4 left, Ohai cuts inside from the left and taps in.

90+2' 1-2 Yellow card on Brush.

    FT 1-2.

Especially with Nairn on the opposing team. She can launch from distance.

Really enjoyed the Ohai-Krieger match up. They both looked very good!

Nairn having her best match since I don't remember - certainly a long long time ago.

NWSLFL counted this game as part of Week 15.... And I was literally half a point away from the top 10 for week 15, 135.0 points when #10 was 135.5
Even with that, I'm still in the 300's overall, so I'm shocked at how well that lineup did - especially with two midfielders at 0pts for the week.

15 points up for grabs to finish the season.... Her are my guesses:
team: current + future = total end of season
    WAS: 32 +11 = 43
    POR: 29+13 = 42
    WNY: 26 + 7 = 33
    CHI: 25 +8 = 33
    SKY: 22 + 5 = 27
    SEA: 20 + 6 = 26

22' 0-0 Levin left throw-in at circle back, Morgan helps at midfield left touch. Washington long backpass, Morgan chases to arc top mid-left. Orlando regains, Edmonds bends a ground cross from 24m mid-left to 15m mid-right, behind a run. Washington counter down box right, lose it over.

25' 0-0 Krieger carries up wide right across midfield, ground pass to Dunn(?) cutting center-to-right at 30m mid-right -- off her heel, flick not intended? Orlando 25m arc right, good struggle for control -- repeated runs down box right disrupted.

27' 0-0 Orlando right throw-in at 27m, tapped or bounces back to RB Weatherholt at ~arc top right touch. One-touch right instep half-volley high, drops to 6-top right. Morgan(??) jumps left-to-right, flick-heads across mouth, Wys dives centerward and 1h slaps it wide.

28' 0-0 Morgan chases a high bounce to box top center, Wys collects it and Morgan hop-lunge pokes it out of her hands -- probably not allowed. Wys grabs the bounce anyways.

29' 0-0 Yellow card on Pressley.

32' 0-0 Orlando fk at 8m wide left, ground cross cleared back. 2nd cross from 25m mid-left, cleared. Washington attack up the left, win a throw-in.

33' 0-0 Farquharson(?) touches centerward to 22m mid-left, shoots long dipping to 1/3 right low. Harris dives and blocks, doesn't catch, defense collects.

34' 0-0 Spencer dribbles alongside Krieger to circle top mid-left, sprawls down from too much hand-wrestling action. Foul, yellow card on Krieger.

37' 0-1 Farquharson(?) plays Dydasco overlapping down left touch at a sprint, finally stopped 1-v-2 at 10m wide left. Dydasco bends a soft cross to 12m mid-left for Ch.Williams lurking unmarked at 15m. Williams steps to ball, stutter-fakes centerward, then pokes endline and nutmegs  Kyle stepping up, chases to 7m mid-left. Sliding-down left instep shot rises past Harris, golaaaazo into left 90 as everybody just watched in astonishment.

42' 0-1 Krieger crafty/patient dribble at circle top wide right vs. Spencer giving her space. Backpass, Washington probe leftward. Orlando's press is pretty high in Washington's 1/3, but not lunging/chasing, and Washington's patient passing easily picks lanes through it. But Washington runs out of passers just past midfield, loses it.

45+1' (of +1') 0-1 Krieger way up at 27m box right, pass to Dunn spinning to face her at box top mid-right. Ball rolls over Dunn's right foot, to Harris.

HT 0-1. Washington is looking to run away at the top of the league. Orlando needs wins, or they'll be (7+x) points out of 4th with 12 to play for.
