Repped for optimism at a most fleeting moment it seems. Although we could have reached rock bottom already, and in that case we're moving on up!!
I keep seeing conflicting reports on whether Igboananike is a DP or not this year. I was under the impression that he would need to be bought down again with TAM or GAM or whatever for the Fire to have an open DP spot. I'm sure if they have a "DP" type player lined up, they'll do this, but as of now, I believe Kennedy is a DP again.
Hell yeah! We can win more than a few games with that line up, MLS games even! Optimism is my favorite ism, and the optimism thread is my favorite thread. Yaro and Jones bookmarking the back line would be pretty exciting, so it would make sense to get some experience between the two of them with the DP and Intl slots. Maybe it's the new-ness of the coach and GM (and the newness of having a GM), but I'm excited for March 6th.
This current line up is not a cause for Optimism, unfortunately. It is very young, however. The oldest player is Patrick Nyarko, at the tender age of 29. The average age is 24.13. I like your Optimism here, but a bit of realism is needed. Where will the Fire find three (1-DP and 2 other internationals) experienced center backs in January, since we have not signed an experienced center back (other than a useless Adailton) since Arne Friedrich? I am Optimistic that you are right. Considering the Fire only won 8 games last season, I am Optimistic that they will win more than that in 2016. Most Optimistic statement I can muster: No Frank Yallop slumbering through the season.
I am optimistic because I have won 5 Cups in 3 years with the Fire in FIFA 16. Sold Accam for $9.5 mil and Shipp for $6 mill.
F: Calistri, Iggy, Gilberto M: Accam, Bryce,Conner, Fernandez, Nyarko, Polster, Shipp D: Doody, Gehrig, Jones G: Johnson I'm optimistic that the bolded players are decent quality players
I think my optimism will be that, like this years Bears, there will be a talent deficit and the final record will be nothing to write home about, but there will be an uptick in how people, in the organization and out, feel about the direction the team is going. Which is not saying a hell of a lot for either organization, but it is an improvement.
I'm competing against the Fire right now. Trying to see what happens first: I get a girlfriend Or The Fire get a Keane Money player. It's a tie.
Why do you think he divorced? He already had the plush raccoon. Plush raccoon supplies most of the "benefits" of a wife, without ANY of the negatives. As a fellow divorced guy, I can vouch.
