KC came together as a team late in the season. O'Reilly is KC's best player. Where was she during the Olympics when we needed a good kick during the shoot-out? (Sarcasm. Yeah, I know, she was an alternate.) Barnhardt for goalie of the year.
If this had been a 24 game season like in 2014, it's not unreasonable to think KC might have made a serious run at a playoff spot. They were finding their form, but just ran out of time.
Hopefully the Pride get a 9th place ribbon for their participation this year. At least they didn't finish in last. They were the only expansion team this year.
I hope they rethink the two extra games against the regional rival. Boston is going to get into the playoffs based on getting 10 points from the Breakers
If they have 12 teams next year, then they can just play everyone twice = 22 game season That way you get a home game and an away game against every other team in the league. It's completely fair across the board, and each home crowd can see every team in the league once.
Kreiger for Washington has been awesome so far. Short is doing a good job against Dunn, but maybe that opens up things for Krieger.
Chicago vs Washington was a good game. I saw Chicago put on an offensive display like I expected them to do all season long -- but they were curiously ineffective on offense most of the season. I like Dunn's new hairstyle. She missed several shots...do you suppose that hairstyle threw off her balance.
And in four games, Orlando got 9 points off of second-from-the- bottom Houston, so why aren't they sitting one point behind WNY? Further, Orlando got 3 points off of Boston, while WNY only got 2 points off of Houston, so Orlando should have the same number of points as WNY in the standings, by your reckoning. .........I do totally agree that 4 games vs. the same team was stupid. The 2017 ' best case' is like WWC_Movement said, otherwise, there should be no more than 3 games vs. the same team.
