Olympique Marseille won 0-1 against Paris Saint Germain at Paris. Sakai started and played the whole match, he was very solid, neutralising Neymar in many ocassions, just like what he did in the 2017/2018 clash between both teams. Sakai was brilliant defensively, he defended against many PSG's attacking thrusts, and cleared many dangerous chances. On a side note, there was a big brawl just few moments before the end of the match which saw 5 players sent off (2 from Marseille and 3 from PSG, including Neymar, who should have been sent off earlier for comitting many fouls against Marseille's players and his un-sportsmanship). The good news about the incident is that Marseille's left-back Amavi was sent off, which means Nagatomo will start and make his debut in the next Marseille's match.
What the feck XD Where's Saku when we need him? We want a detailed report of the brawl with shots from the stands! However, it seems japanese sidebacks know how to stop Neymar: after Uchida now Sakai.
Welp, apparently Nagatomo is ineligible to play in the next match since it was rescheduled from MD1, and he was not with OM on the originally scheduled date. Silly...
Then Amavi's suspension shall not be served in this match, but as far as the information I read Amavi will be suspended in this match. In a positive note for Nagatomo, Amavi might get suspended for 6 or 7 matches. While Benedetto might get suspended for 3 matches, and Alvaro Gonzalez might get suspended for 10 matches upon accusations from Neymar that Alavaro directed racial slurs towards him. This will be a huge loss for Marseille, and if the French football authorities suspended Alvaro for mere accusations from Neymar with no evidence, then the French Ligue 1 shall change their name to Neymar league.
Ligue 1 confirmed the sanctions after the PSG-Marseille brawl on Sunday:Kurzawa: Six gamesAmavi: Three gamesNeymar: Two gamesParedes: Two gamesBenedetto: One gameDi Maria: Under investigation for allegedly spitting at Alvaro Gonzalez😳 pic.twitter.com/5UxMFXAB9p— B/R Football (@brfootball) September 16, 2020 Álvaro and Di María are still under investigation.
Ligue 1 confirmed suspensions: - Marseille: Amavi 3 matches - Benedetto 1 match. Not harsh, Nagatomo will have the chance to start in 2 matches, unless AVS is planning to field a make-shif left-back. - PSG: Kurzawa 6 matches - Neymar 2 matches - Paredes 2 matches. - Further investigations on accusations against Alvaro Gonzalez and Angel Di Maria are to be carried out, and measures will be taken if one or both are guilty.
Nagatomo is starting for Marseille and he is making his debut in the French Ligue 1. Sakai starts too, and it is the first team a European team are playing with Japanese players as right and left side-back. Not a night to remember for him as he was subbed out after '60. His positional mistakes costs om's first goal.
Neymar apparently called Sakai "********ing chinese" during the controversial game. https://www.leparisien.fr/sports/fo...kai-22-09-2020-8389281.php#xtor=AD-1481423553
LOL. And he's from the most japanese populated country in the world after Japan (and he's from Sao Paulo the most japanese populated brazilian state too). Probably one of his relatives are/are related to japanese descendant people. Not taking in account that he's a mestizo, the most bastard racial mix in the world, and it's ridiculous to act as a racist with some sort of supremacy complex.
Well I'm from Brazil and I can confirm that japanese-descendents are the group here which are the main target of jokes, stereotyping and also discriminatory behavior at the workplace after this trend of affirmative action - Neymar's case is just the tip of the iceberg. So it's clear that if Japan's government keep importing people from third world countries, the japanese people will become target of racism in their own homeland. This is one of the several reasons why it's so foolish to keep bringing into Japan those immigrants, and it's incomprehensible why Japan's government keep doing that, it really is.
Honestly I think this is silly. There are issues of integration related to Latin American working class immigrants in Japan, but nothing like the overwhelming majority group being racially oppressed by a tiny group of immigrants (a large percentage of whom are Nikkei in any event). Current levels of immigration to Japan are still a drop in the ocean, and they could and should aim to increase the numbers while improving the cultural integration and economic empowerment so they don’t get stuck in a disadvantaged position. It’s probably the only path to reversing the past decades of de-growth in the country.
Lol Japan's immigration policy is different from a lot of countries which are pretty loose in nature. My country (Singapore) is estimated to have at least half of our workforce made up foreigners. A lot of foreigners can easily get our citizenship within a few years if they come via free-trade agreements which encompasses a clause allowing for free flow of labour. Plus, a lot of foreign permanent residents and foreigners having work permits/special passes. A lot of them don't put in a strong effort to assimilate and stick to their own community, causing a lot of rifts and division within the society. Japan's immigration policy for those working low labour jobs e.g factory workers require them to pass N2 Japanese Proficiency test if i am not wrong. It is to weed out and hence select those with a strong desire to work and stay in Japan. Plus, they do not take in huge amount of foreigners at one time but instead bring them over slowly, allowing for the earlier batches who came to slowly assimilate first. A lot of the Brazillians and Filipinos in Japan actually blend in with the locals very well but of course there tend to be some issues now and there. Countries like Japan and a few others e.g France/Italy/Netherlands/UK(as a result of Brexit), etc. tend to be stricter in terms of allowing in foreigners as they don't want to sacrifice their own local populations' interests in the job markets compared to my country where local wages have depressed as a result of free flow of labour talent.
You cannot compare Japan (a country with deep history and heritage) with a country established less than a century ago and was formed by integrating Chinese and Indian immigrants into the original Malay population.
Guys, I love the debates but, we're quickly derailing from the Sakai-Neymar affair.Especially since these topics have a tendency to become endless debates, if anyone has anything else to add that isn't related to Hiroki, please open a thread here https://www.bigsoccer.com/forums/japan-nsr.1488/ I will move out these posts in that case. Feel free to do it as long as everyone remains civil. Any further posts here will not be kept, so don't be that guy. Thanks
