Considering it was the first game of the season and the fact that we missed heavy hitters like Reus and Gotze, I was satisfied. Dembele is a real gem, but he neds to be catered to, something TT is adept at. Rode had an OK match, but did show glimpses of better things to come. Glad Auba scored and I hope that this is the start of another goal frenzy for him. Bartra had some great passes and is looking like a good Hummels replacement. Schurrle was mostly lost, but he got himself an assist. If he could keep delivering assists and goal, he might turn up to be worth it.

Aubameyang is sensational. Can't say the same of Kagawa whom I've saw many bad matches but this was terrible. Dortmund won in dire straits with Mainz bringing danger because of Dortmund's own mistakes and taking long to decide the match. However the team has very interesting pieces that has everything to work really fine when completely adapted.
