Joaquin has supposedly called firenzeviola.it, in tears, and says he doesn't understand why the club is not letting him leave for Betis. http://m.firenzeviola.it/copertina/joaquin-chiama-fv-ecco-la-mia-verita-185546 Ugly.
Joaquin went to firenzeviola and spilled the beans. He says our management informed him that he was on the market over a year ago. He wasn't getting much playing time in the first half of last season and was unhappy, wanted to go back to Spain. In January our management pleaded him to stay to help carry the team, which he did with great professionalism. Once summer came, he stated no one asked him whether he'd like to stay or not and now is extremely unhappy and adamant on going home. He feels great emotion towards the fans but doesn't want to leave with a sour taste in his mouth. Our management has made quite a few mistakes these past months, it's in the best interest for Della Valle to just release him since Betis aren't willing to pay the 5m edit: just posted this as you did Nicky haha Makes me upset, Joaquin is an endearing man and gave his all for us.
Joaquin needs to be let go. €500k now, and €1m if they stay up and he plays more than half the games. That's my offer.
Think he's still quality and there isn't a right winger good enough to challenge him unless you stick Berna there
He does have the quality, but if you try to offload him, then bring him back, and he's asked to leave, let him go.
The only thing more abundant than Chelsea Flops, are definitely Milan flops haha. Speaking of which, aren't Milan signing that ex-Milan flop Balotelli? LOL
I'd be lying if I said that I followed the transfers of teams of Milan's calibre very closely. I honestly only really focus on us and our rivals.
Napoli want Vecino. We're asking around 15m so we could possibly use that to reinforce the wings as Joaquin will likely leave.
We're raising his price because it's late in the transfer window and if Napoli meet the price, we don't have much time to find another player. (At least my theory)
Director Rogg says Joaquin will not be allowed to leave as he's "important for the atmosphere and the players". Considering Joaquin has been skipping training recently as protest I don't think the "atmosphere" will be quite the same.
We just signed 32yr old Spanish attacking mid Joan Verdu Fernandes. Don't know anything about him.. http://www.violanews.com/calciomercato/ufficiale-la-fiorentina-si-assicura-joan-verdu-fernandez/
Read a few articles on him, hes essentially like borja with slick passing but also a decent free kick taker. He can play both attacking mid and defending mid but shines in a free role. I can see him being put in games against easier teams just to keep valero fresh.
Supposedly we almost bought Pizarro back but decided on Verdu'. http://www.firenzeviola.it/primo-piano/pizarro-e-stato-ad-un-passo-dal-ritorno-in-viola-185831
He looks great on YouTube and he'll be a clear upgrade over gilberto, I'd think, but can he do well here?
