3,678 for the CR Rampage home opener/pre-season finale. I predicted about 3500 looking at it so it was pretty accurate.

Aren't there only like 4,000 saleable seats for indoor?

Er...make that "all" interchangeable. Shouldn't be posting when I'm half asleep.

FWIW it seemed like one of the bigger crowds I've seen at the Sears Centre Arena, but still on the opposite side of the team benches the front row was pretty full and very few other people on that entire half of the arena.

They should train the people in Syracuse who have historically inflated shots and saves.

Approx 30 hours to make a 7 hour drive?

Hell, the worst part of that trip is 7 hours of "VEGAS! VEGAS! VEGAS!!!!!" and the 7:00 AM bedtime due to the blackjack binge.

7 hours in (likely) an 18-passenger (or worse) was probably the worst part.

Saying they had 30 hours to get there ignores how low-rent this is. These are (ostensibly, hold your laughs until the end) professional athletes, not APBA cards.

I would say 9,000-something based on the interactive Ticketmaster map. Although they don't sell the end seats online. So they have maybe 7,000 tickets out right now I'd guess.

That is their routine opening night crowd in recent years, isn't it? I am away from my data. Seems like it is their usual range.

Opening Night isn't normally a huge issue. It's games four, five and six.

Comets home opener is usually almost sold out. Lots of walk ups before the game. This is what it looks like right now, sides are getting pretty thin and the terrace (ends) still have quite a few. I'm going to the opener and I expect it to be full or close to. As mentioned before, the further you get into the season and winter weather tend to play a factor in the attendance.

Groupon was running a 1/2 price ticket offer for seats in the 300s a few weeks ago as well.
