    Muto's goal clinches a place in the 1.Bundesliga next season for Mainz.

    It's the second time in a row that Muto saves Mainz from relegation.

    That movementbefore his header is worldclass. Don't think there is any other Japanese striker that has that skill these days, atleast not at that level.

    Still got 8 goals. I think its okey. Osako got 4 with just the same amount of playing time. Maybe both players change teams this summer.

    Osako often played as a midfielder this season, though.

    Muto plays a very good season. He has also 5 assists, which is very good. 13 scorer points for an team which played quite poor this season. Overall he has 10 goals this season which means 15 scorer points in 30 games. He was injured about 10 games this season. In a better team where he gets more balls / chances he easily score 15+ goals.

    Muto needs to be injury-free and then he'll fly. I hope he'll have a chance for Asian Cup, I don't think we'll see him for WC.

    Starts in his team last match of the season:

    Let's hope he will score at least a goal today. Scoring a brace or more will see him recording a double-digit for the first time since he moved to Europe 3 years ago.

    Newcastle is said to have offered to buy Muto, a move which would nearly triple his salary.

    Couple of interesting things about this transfer:

    - Keio University should get something like 500k;
    - I'm not sure how he'll get the work permit exactly.
