Looked fit and lively in an 89 minute appearance and could have had a penalty. Muto must have had a good winter camp!

 

Bojan has arrived on loan. Interesting replacement for Malli, I suppose.

 

Aren't they playing in different positions?

 

Bojan plays as a shadow striker/CAM position, sometimes on the wing. He's definitely a replacement for Malli.

 

They equalized some seconds after he left the pitch. Bad luck!

 

Nobody mentionend that he scored yesterday a cool goal ? It was called offside but was regular the said later,sad he deserved it.

 

Kicker mentioned it, but wasn't able to find a stand alone video of it. It was a great goal indeed.

Started and played 75 min. Just subbed out for debuting Bojan Krkic as Hoffenheim is one up.

Edit: And Mainz managed to fall apart afterward by getting 3 more goals against them...

 

Came on for Krkic after 70 min (again him, wonder if he lost his place to him). Ran a lot for the short time he was on.

 

Starts at Leverkusen and wins a corner leading to the go-ahead goal under 3 minutes.

 

Scored in overtime but they still lost.

 

He came in in min 67, had three shots and converted one. Cordoba, the only striker before, had only one shot. The only Mainz player with more shots was MF Gbamin (six shots) who got a red at the end.

 

He also had a good header in the post before the goal!

Muto also assisted the 4th goal, earned a penalty. Now 5 goals and 2 asissts in the league and 1 goal in the europa league. Not bad when you considering his limited play time this season and his long term injuries.

In the last 7 games he scored 3 goals and gave 2 assists. Very good.
