Take the money they're receiving from Chicago for Michael de Leeuw's discovery rights and send to DCU for Maars'.

Are we working off the assumption that Earnie got a discovery claim on the entire Eredivisie when he agreed to come to MLS?

No but it was reported that the Union do have a discovery right on Michael de Leeuw.

Perry Kitchen would be an interesting target because he's a much better fit next to Nogueira then Edu but anything involving Kitchen coming in would have to also involve Edu going out.

Another typo I'm pretty sure. It could be good we've signed 5/6 draft picks but it could also be an indication that they didn't have to beat out much competition.

I think BSFC had already signed him.

I guess that's it for the off-season. Union content to fill up their roster with late round Superdraft.

I actually like this. League minimum guy and he showed this preseason that he belong on an MLS roster at least as a back up.

    So, is that it then?

Curtin didn't have anything concrete to say on Ilsinho today either.

He said that Ilsinho is still with the team, that they are very high on him and you can never have too many good players on your team. Based upon Curtin's prior statements over the years, that translates to, "We like him. We want to sign him. We need to make the numbers work."

Do they have any money left?

I'd almost rather have Ilsinho now rather than a DP striker this summer. We'll probably be out of the playoff hunt by then anyway and we can just get a striker next off season.

Curtin said today that Edu has not trained yet and is doubtful but not yet ruled out for the Dallas game. It sounds like he won't play in the first two games with the plan to have him ready for the home opener on 3/20.

remember when I expressed my apprehension about the DM rotation? Have to hope they sign somebody that frees Alberg up to help in the near term.

this is how I feel. the midfield would be able to pick up the slack on goals and probably get CJ some better chances.

You could run Nogueira, Barnetta, Carroll, and Alberg/Ilsinho/Pontius and still be pretty dynamic in the middle.
