    Is it something like this......

    ------------EJ------Silva------------
    ---------------Arnaud---------------
    ---Pontius----------------DeLeon---
    ---------------Kitchen---------------
    --Wool-Jakovic-Boswell-Franklin-
    ---------------Hamid----------------

And if we pick up Pearce or Espindola today, they would probably be starters. Pearce at left back. Espindola at Forward and maybe Silva starts at right wing over Deleon. I would guess the #1 pick will be a back up at the start of the season.

That's a pretty decent MLS team.

Woolard is no longer with DCU; that'll probably be Korb. Otherwise, your list of players is probably correct; but a 4-5-1 is more likely, unfortunately.

As several people have mentioned on the other threads, I doubt we go for Pearce, because he will want more money than we can afford to give since we still have several roster spots to fill. Espindola is more of a possibility, but probably still doubtful for the same reason.

I didn't realize that Woolard was gone. He is still listed on the United roster on the web page. But if he is, then I'd think United would try hard to get Pearce at some lesser salary. It fits in with the apparent strategy of getting proven MLS guys.

Well, Woolard is sorta up in the air, as I see it.

He's out of contract, we don't seem like we're giving him another one, but he's not attached to anyone else yet, so it's possible he tries out in camp. Either way, Korb would start over him.

Just updating to say that Goff has stated that Woolard doesn't seem to be in the club's plans.

And as I look down the roster, I'm okay with that. I'd rather have Korb and Kemp than Woolard at this point, for the money. And more importantly, though I'd like to see someone else at LB, I think our need for another strong MF and another F is much greater.

The only reason to keep Woolard was to keep a strong Neanderthalian jawline on the club. Maybe he could play for Portland and after they score, go over and cut a slice off the tree, who needs Timber Joey.
We hadn't had good Neanderthal representation since Jeff Agoos left.

Oh, what I actually meant to say was ... isn't this thread a tad premature? ;)
    And redundant?
