For a good draft it wasnt rich to begin with in midfielders. They need a scorer with their first pick. DeVanna will be late, Adams is gone and u have to figure the KO experiment is over. If they were really strapped for a presence they could play Goodson at CAM and put Cutshall in the CB slot. They liked to move Goodson forward if they were behind late in game last season. Another interesting thing is Foord has been playing Forward in the W-league and scoring like a bandit.
Confirmation that they are drafting Ohai? Pre-draft night meeting. Recognize everyone here? pic.twitter.com/GW9VrZIqT1— Chris Canetti (@ChrisCanetti) January 17, 2014
5 months ago Randy Waldrum was planning on how to defend Kealia Ohai. Now he is planning on how to tailor his offense around her.
Following Notre Dame for the last 19 years or so, my understanding is that Randy Waldrum is a Christian and likes kids that are good role models. From what I've heard he doesn't have much tolerance for players that are alcoholics, partiers, etc.
I sort of gathered that he liked serious players, but I see him supporting all kinds of players. Not just the religious ones, I mean.
Oh, absolutely. I believe ND has had kids from various nationalities and probably religions that have played for Waldrum over the years. He liked kids that represented the school well and didn't get in trouble from what I understand. I'm sure he'll be the same as a pro coach.
Looks solidified now ..... Mark Berman@MarkBermanFox26 Sources: Dash prepared 2use #2 pickN NWSL College Draft Friday on UNC F Kealia Ohai if she's not taken #1.She's Brian Cushing's sister-in-law
Jesus turned water into wine. I don't think it would be a bad influence to have a little celebratory drink before the draft. It's a far cry having a drink or two at a restaurant from being an alcoholic or partier.
Yes, let the girl drink. Let her celebrate on the eve of being drafted as a professional. Give her a plate of wings too.
I know that. I'm sure he would be OK with a beer. I was just commenting that my take on following ND all these years is that he likes good kids.
Tobin Heath was a big party freak at UNC. Maybe she's not a good kid. Morgan and Leroux love to party with each other, and take pictures.
If he's looking for a good kid it's gonna be hard for him to go wrong where he is picking. Ohai is a solid student and won the Senior Award this year...Johnston is very open about her Christian beliefs.
I really feel these players are going to like playing for Randy Waldrum. Including the former UNC players. He's not a screamer and yeller. He prepares the team during practice and then let's them play the game.
Is there any confirmation to this other than her being from Utah? If she is a Mormon though, she is not that strict of one... (that's not to say she's a bad person, just there are some LDS rules she has broken, such as playing on Sunday)
Most of the drafts seem to be similar accept for where Johnston/Kallman/Frisbie fall out. Ive seen it fall out in every combination. Personally I think what's best for the athletes is Chicago taking Kallman who slot into the hole in the back line, Johnston goes to KC and takes Scott's spot and Frisbie ends up in Seattle. I still have a hard time with Chicago leaving the multi-talented Johnston on the table but it seems to be the most popular choice.
