It strikes me funny that these two games would be on Univision. Are you sure that is correct? Univision is not listed by Ussoccer.com for these two games. http://www.ussoccer.com/Schedule-Tickets/Schedule.aspx
Probably a typo. Those games would fit on Univision Deportes Network or Galavision. They aren't good enough matchups even for TeleFutura.
Information came from the following USSoccer press release: http://www.ussoccer.com/News/Mens-N...urns-to-Columbus-for-WCQ-to-Face-Jamaica.aspx But on second reading it does say "Univision family of networks". Sorry for the confusion. SA
My educated guess: The Mexico vs USA World Cup Qualifying match from Estadio Azteca in the 2nd half of 2013 will be available in the U.S. in English, exclusively live on... "UnivisionABC News 24/7" http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.c...on-an-english-language-channel-for-hispanics/ The match is way too valuable for Univision to sublicense to someone else now that Univision will own 50% of an English-language pay TV channel by the middle of 2013. Using the English-language telecast as a "marketing event" for the new "UnivisionABC News 24/7" channel in "free preview mode" makes too much sense, unless... Univision were to also launch "Univision Sports Network" in English with English Premier League as its centerpiece. (Airing a big sports event on a national news channel is NOT a new thing. CNN en Espanol U.S. airs Major League Baseball playoff games in Spanish because Turner Broadcasting does not have another Spanish-language channel in the U.S. besides CNN en Espanol.)
