Very solid outing against Mainz. Should have had 2 assists to Ibisevic - one was ruled out for offside, and the other was banged into the keeper from point blank range.

    superb!
but I'd be okay even with tap ins if the tradeback was that they were more frequent =p

We know he still has it but if coach doesn't complain about that and his defensive duties are preferred by him it's not a big problem. But numbers will be surely needed for a step-up move in the future.

Started in Köln (where Osako is completely absent), just assisted the assist to Hertha's first goal right before the break in a combination involving all attacking players.

He was very active tonight with some great moves. He's indeed the most European-like Japanese player in Europe (maybe aside from Okazaki and Nagatomo) when it comes to tactical awareness and defensive duties. I'm seeing Morioka's transition in Poland right now and it's heaven and earth between the leagues and demands for offensive players here and in Japan. Genki wasn't that bad in defensive play during his Urawa days but now he's an example in my opinion. While Yuya is... on his way to get 15+ goals per season for Antlers right now...

Funny, he's kinda the cliche Europeans think about Japanese players. Great stamina, decent technical ability, definitely a team player, but terrible, terrible decisions in the attacking third.

He was subbed in in min 67 with Hertha one down, didn't change the game's direction.

After all those wasted chances for assists Ibisevic finally scored from one.

It kinda looked like he miscontrolled the ball and the ball went to Ibisevic

Involved in all goals (one goal and one assist) and nobody posts?
Edit: Those were his second goal and third assist this Buli season.

What a bad way to end their impressive season!

After holding the 3rd place for long period, they are now even out of the competition for the 4th place with 1 game remaining and 3 points (+15 GD) separating them from 4th place Borussia Monchengladbach.

I really hoped for Haraguchi to play in the champions league next season.

Hopefully he'll get the chance again, and EL experience will give him valuable experience next season.
