Is this the least interesting Eastern Conference in years? I mean it's always bad, but man I'm struggling to care about any series in the first round - wake me when Chicago, Washington or Cleveland is playing each other and I'll try to care a little more. Predictions for first round? I'm going with: GSW Houston Spurs Grizz Chicago Cleveland Atlanta Toronto. The winners in bold are the ones I'm the least sure about.
If Jabari Parker was playing it would have been great watching the Bulls D introduce him to the playoffs. Other than that, maybe somehow magically the Celtics give the Cavs a competitive effort?
Playoff Predictions: Golden State to prevail over New Orleans in five games. The Warriors are ultimately too good, too well-coached and too talented for the Pelicans to handle. That said, I expect the Brow to go supernova and win one game to interrupt the Warriors' dominance. Dallas to best Houston in seven games. This is by far my most controversial pick here, but I don't know, just have this gut feeling that Dallas is better than they showed in the regular season. Harden has never really impressed in the playoffs either. Plus, I think that coaching really shines in the playoffs, and Rick is by far the superior coach as opposed to McHale. Los Angeles will be defeated by San Antonio in seven games. I really like the Clippers, but there always seems to be something missing from them, and San Antonio are looking very good heading into the playoffs. Chris Paul and company will battle hard, but they will ultimately be beat by the more complete team. Memphis to win versus Portland in six. Portland are paying for their lack of depth, and while the Grizzlies are also dealing with injuries, I'm just not sure Portland has the mettle to play with the big boys this time. They don't have any really good defenders outside Lopez with Matthews out. Memphis is simply the better team. Atalanta qualifies over Brooklyn in five. As much as you get the sense that the Hawks peaked too early, the Nets are a pretty average team and don't have the firepower to get the job done. Cleveland sweeps Boston, killing the series in four. I think Brad Stevens has done an admirable job with a mediocre-at-best roster at his disposal, but I don't see anyone really slowing Lebron or Irving this series. Boston has some nice young pieces, but the Cavs are a championship-level team, and the C's won't be able to compete. Chicago beats down Milwaukee in five. The Bucks aren't ready, and with Rose back, Chicago will turn their team into high gear and should make short work of the young Bucks. Washington defeats Toronto in six. The Raptors simply lack frontcourt talent, and I believe Wall will run rampant over their backcourt. I don't really like either team to do significant damage beyond this point, so whatever.
The Clippers are planing to change their logo and colours during the summer. No name change as of now.
Hey ho, our resident Bulls fan, @P to the Wee, is unavailable at the moment, so he asked me to post his NBA playoff predictions before the playoffs start: EASTERN CONFERENCE - FIRST ROUND (1) Atlanta Hawks vs. (8) Brooklyn Nets Hawks 4-1 (2) Cleveland Cavaliers vs. (7) Boston Celtics Cavs 4-0 (3) Chicago Bulls vs. (6) Milwaukee Bucks Bulls 4-0 (4) Toronto Raptors vs. (5) Washington Wizards Wizards 4-2 SECOND ROUND (1) Atlanta Hawks vs. (5) Washington Wizards Hawks 4-2 (2) Cleveland Cavaliers vs (3) Chicago Bulls Cavs 4-1 EASTERN CONFERENCE FINAL (1) Atlanta Hawks vs. (2) Cleveland Cavaliers Cavs 4-2 WESTERN CONFERENCE - FIRST ROUND (1) Golden State Warriors vs. (8) New Orleans Pelicans Warriors 4-1 (2) Houston Rockets vs. (7) Dallas Mavericks Rockets 4-2 (3) L.A. I am watching the quadruple header tommmoroww who else is lol. The east playoffs will Be patheic I got Cavs as a shoe-in for the Finals appearance sorry @P to the Wee. Wiz over raptors (in 6) Hawks over BK (in 4) Cavs over celtics (in 4) Bulls over bucks (in 6) I got the cavs over the Bulls in the ECF in 6. The West GSW over Pelicans (in 5) rockets over Mavs (in 7) Spurs over clippers (in 6) grizz over Blazers in (6) I got Spurs over the Grizz in the WC in 7 Spurs or Grizz over the Cavs. Let's get it started in here!!!!
Playoff Rondo has already entered the building if I'm not mistaken. Some nice passes, solid defence, and taking charge of the game a bit.
It's strange to think that before Rondo showed up the Mavs were the best offense in the league and now they barely crack 100.
Jameer Nelson>>>>Rajon Rondo Seriously, the Mavs are an offence based on spacing. Rondo kills that spacing.
Lol I cut off the Dubs game at Half cuz it looked like they were going to run away with it. Davis must've went beast mode to make the game close.
I think it's runtinely overlooked but since the all star game the a Celtics have the second best record overall of any team in the east other then the Cavs 23-11 impressive. I still don't give them a shot today though. Atlanta should easily take care of the hapless no heart Nets. The real marquee matchup is Clips-Spurs I see the Clips coming out on fire and winning and play the nobody believes in us or respects us card. I think Portland is going to make their series more comepetive that people realize. day 2 of NBA quadruple header lets get the party started in here!!!!
