Enjoy being on WFAN. Glad I have no reason to listen to that shit station anymore.

The Yanks are moving to WFAN? In 2014? Where will the Mets be heard?

I must say it was annoying when I tried to get a traffic or weather report on WCBS only to hear A-Roid hit another illegitimate home-run instead.

The article I posted quoted the Mets on this...

Mets COO Jeff Wilpon said, “Right now we’re still negotiating with several parties about what we’re going to do with our radio rights.”

Do the Yankees still have a chance of making the play offs now? What's required to get there?

They're one game behind in the race for the second wild card spot. They just need to keep winning and then knock the Rays off head-to-head when they play Sept. 24-26.

15 games left overall. Three each against the Red Sox, Blue Jays, Giants, Rays and Astros. (That's right, their last 3 games of the season are against the the team with the worst record in baseball!)

More 'roids to offset the fact that the average age of the team is 82.

Just looked at the Indians schedule. Super easy: Twins, Astros, White Sox.

They'll be next to impossible to catch after their last tough series against the Royals.

    http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/story/_/id/9697362/new-york-yankees-andy-pettitte-retires-second

"I'm announcing my retirement prior to the conclusion of our season because I want all of our fans to know now -- while I'm still wearing this uniform -- how grateful I am for their support throughout my career. I want to have the opportunity to tip my cap to them during these remaining days and thank them for making my time here with the Yankees so special," Pettitte said in a statement. "I've reached the point where I know that I've left everything I have out there on that field. The time is right. I've exhausted myself, mentally and physically, and that's exactly how I want to leave this game."

Is that start Sunday likely to be Pettitte's last Yankee Stadium start, or do they close out at home?

They close out the season in Houston and his next scheduled turn in the rotation would have him pitching on Saturday against the Astros. Andy was raised and lives nearby in Deer Park, so he will be ending his career close to home.

The Yankees have produced their 21st straight winning season. It's the 2nd longest stretch in Major League history, behind only the Yankees' record 39 consecutive winning seasons from 1926 to 1964.

CC Sabathia has been shut down with a Grade 2 hamstring strain and will not make his final start of the season, which would have been on Wednesday.

There was apparently quite a scene at last night's game, in which the Yankees were distributing Mariano Rivera bobblehead dolls. Hasn't milking Mo's retirement gotten to the point of being obscene? I don't know who's to blame more, the Yankees or their fans. Or perhaps Rivera should have put a stop to the exploitation. He was a great player, but -- Enough already!
