Excellent half-season for Morioka. He arrived to this team while it was in dire situation. They were in relegation zone + scoring the lowest amount of goals (28 goals in 30 matches, with 2 of them scored by him). He helped them to score 13 goals in 7 games in the relegation round (the second highest), as he scored 5 of them and having hand in some of the others. He finished the season as his team top scorer + top scorer in the relegation round (7 goals overall, 5 in relegation round). Comparing him to Akahoshi, who at best managed 7 goals in regular season + play-off round in 35 games in 2013/14 season, while Morioka scored 7 in 15 games! Promising start to his European adventure.
scoring a lot in a mickey mouse league like poland does not get him bonus points. akahoshi struggled in j2 but he had 7 goals and 14 assists in a season in poland. pointless transfer.
but Morioka isn't Akahoshi and performing is better than the opposite. If he succeeds in a foreign environment, it's always valuable.
Being "the man" is a valuable experience for attacking players IMO. Remember when Honda was playing in Eerste Divisie?
In the end, Morioka call the right decision. Now it's up to the market "feel" the player and his chance. 2. Bundesliga would be awesome.
http://www.soccer-king.jp/news/world/world_other/20160623/459849.html Kohei Kato moves from Poland to Bulgarian side PFC Beroe Stara Zagora. The club was 3rd in Bulgaria and will partecipate in the Europa League qualifiers hopefully he gets his wage paid
hmm, newly promoted club. Would be worth it only if no better offer & relegation clause (like Hasebe with Nuremberg)
He's still 2 years on his contract. I doubt they will sell one of their best players for fries. End especially if the team will be fighting for one of the spots in European cups this season. And he got assist yesterday.
http://www.fussballtransfers.com/nachricht/dynamo-bietet-fur-japaner_67863 Dynamo Dresden makes an offer of half a million euros for Morioka. It's a lot of money for a small club.
Shota Tamura is on trial with Morioka's Śląsk Wrocław... If he makes it I'll take the first plane and shake his agent's hands.
@Majster2 is Aka injured? Pogon is doing pretty bad at the moment, but Kitano played his first '70 the other day
Yes, very good game for him. If he can keep it up for the 2 coming years a transfer to the top 4 league shouldn't be a problem. Even the coach said that they weren't going to use him as a starter this season but he impressed them enough in the training and instead of keeping him on the bench he's now a starter.
