according to a guy Otsu had a bad match yesterday, loosing almost all battles, missed a sitter, played without any motivation

Karol, this is great info for us, but can you be a bit more specific about the source?

A blogger? Friend of yours? Friend of friend...?

    Thanks!!

that was just one person in a soccerboard (Tm.de) :) i checked for other oppinions, not much to find, one on BMG board said he thought he was "ok" and lacks finishing, but that was it...

but all agree that one of the main reasons could be communication, coach Favre loves tactics and wants all of the players to fully understand it, dont know about Otsu's translator, because JP (Junpei Yamamori) has many clients around there, not only Kagawa and he wont be there for all of them...

lets just wait, at least he gets to play there even if its the reserve for now but i hope he keeps his motivation

If his playing time gets dictated by the availability of Junpei then we might as well give all hope up for Otsu this season.

You might call me mad for saying this depending on what you think of him but this 1 has always been interesting for me cuz I could never decide how special he is so I've been in a let's wait and see long term mode. I'm more curious about what sorta effort he's making where nobody is looking and what steps he takes on monthly basis to EVENTUALLY prove himself long term cuz he's been thru this sorta thing before.

My bad it was Duisburg not Düsseldorf they played against.

However, I don't know about his first team chances. This was a test match without all the internationals and probably some regulars were left out too.
It's just positive that he doesn't seem demotivated.

I like that, the coach was very praising of him in the interviews. Otsu seemed positive.

I'm feeling a little more optimistic about his chances.

More positive news now. He scored today in a friendly today. He should be on the damn bench soon at least.

    FT Monchengladbach [3 - 1] AA Gent
    21' [1 - 0] R. Brouwers
    45' [2 - 0] Y. Otsu
    80' [2 - 1] E. Coulibaly
    85' [3 - 1] Y. Otsu

Not a bad team Gent, second place in the league now.

Reports say his 2nd goal was a 40m lob over the keeper.

Pity that our manager didn't bring him or Joshua King (on loan from ManU) during the last minutes at least. But I'm sure that both will get playing time soon after Bobadilla's & DeCamargo's injuries. It seems the fitness level of both players has improved a lot lately.

It was a superb goal. :)
