Assuming attendance was counted similarly in past seasons, these figures are obviously useful and meaningful for comparison/trend purposes.
In fact attendance was probably far MORE padded in the past then in the last 3. Thus these good numbers are even more meaningful, even if they don't exactly describe the number of people at the games.
Wow, So in next years report or whatever from World Soccer Magazine, MLS may have a team inside the top 50 attended clubs in the world? Thats incredible.
Your bitterness at your team's sucktitude is making me a sad panda. Lashing out at Galaxy attendance is pathetic. Last night was a legit sell out. In fact, for future reference, overflow ticket sales on the grass berm = sell out 99% of the time.
FWIW, the view sucked from Ireland, Alcatraz, Japan, and Hong Kong. Even the sight lines from Catalina were pretty lousy.
14,523 at Chivas. Looked inflated there as well. I think all the unused game vouchers still get counted for the last game, even if they remain unused. Oh well.
On account of the economy I did not purchase my pair of 5 game mini packs to the Dynamo this year. Usually its four of us that do the trip from Austin. Damn, sorry MLS, I myself did not bring the 20 heads I usually bring every year.
I won't steal Andy's thunder--he does a great job with the calculations. For the final week of games, I came up with an average of 19.916.
Its entirely due to Seattle. If you remove them from the numbers the average was 14,975. That would have been one of the lower years ever.
Your not allowed to post facts like that here.. it's forbidden. Next year Seattle, TFC, and Philly might sell out every game...I am sure NY new stadium will get there average up. 17K is a real possibility.
You're allowed to post facts here but you're not supposed to disguise opinion as facts, which is what you and falcon6 are doing.
Pulling data points out of a data set is not valid statistics. Go ******** yourself. EDIT: Did USL attendance go up when Seattlego left the league?
