Québec captures gold, Alberta captures silver Québec won the gold medal and Alberta won the silver medal, Saturday at the 2009 Canada Games Men’s Soccer Tournament. Québec won gold following a 2:0 victory over Alberta in the final, played at the Eastern Eagles Soccer Complex in Montague, PE. “It’s a great to feeling to have won today,” said Québec coach Phillippe Eullaffroy. “It’s a happy end to all the hard work the team put in. We started very slowly in the competition, but as we continued we were able to pick up momentum.” Québec’s victory gives them their second gold medal at the Canada Games Men’s Soccer Tournament, they also won in 1997.
