Really hoping Braga does something good this time around.
Does anyone know what braga starting line up will be this year?
Nem, Luis Felipe, Frechaut, Leal, and Wender are all talented players hopefully they can incorperate Bruno Gama and keep Tomas that would give them a great core.

I was just reading that. he was sold for 1.4M. to Al-Arabi. Somebody get in touch with Al Atari and offer them Sokota and Alan for him. Heck kick in Postiga also. Those arabs have more money then they know what to do with. Porto can get Tomas and balance the books in one swoop

Nacional will face either Feyenoord, Basel, Palermo, Rapid Bucharesti or Osasuna in the first round - they are probably the luckiest of the 3 Portuguese teams involved in the UEFA Cup...

Facing those options, it was a good draw specially to Nacional that has a good chance to go to the group round.
Chievo is better team than Braga, but they have their arguments. Two good games to watch.
I'm not counting on Setúbal this year... If they go thru, they will problably get the same problems VGSC had last year. Lets see.

The attention now shifts to tommorrow's UEFA Cup games, hopefully all 3 will win but realistically we should all hope that we don't lose or get blown out.

    Congrat to Braga.
Anyway, I wish all PT teams could play every week on our league, like they do on UEFA - looking to strike, dangerous, open, etc. I'm pointing my gun at Setúbal for instance. They lost 3-0, but it was a very good match... unfortunatly the ran out of luck.

No surprise that Braga is in the bottom Pot for the Group draw.

It looks like whatever we draw it wil feature atleast 2 really strong sides as all the names save for some in pot 5 are recognisable.

    Code:

    "Easiest" Projected Group:

    Auxerre
    Celta de Vigo (Our Bitches)
    Slovan Liberec
    Livorno
    Braga

    "Hardest" Projected group:

Sevilla (Hey wait! they are our bitches too!) let's say Newcastle/Ajax instead
    PSG (Pauleta! )
    Palerma...I mean Palermo
    Fenerbace
    Braga

Draw I would most like to see:

    Sevilla
    PSG
    Rapid (Revenge)
Blackburn (love to beat an EPL team)
    Braga

...The UEFA Cup is so fun as long as your team is still in :D

Looking at the 40 teams still in contention, I must say that this is probably the deepest pool of talent that I have seen in a long time. Having said that, I think that Braga does stand a really decent shot at getting one of the top 3 spots in their group. Hopefully they can avoid any really long away trips such as an Eastern European club, or at the very least play said team at home instead of the road. Being placed in a competition of this nature at this stage will help Braga develop a European mentality that will help them in the years to come...
