well, if you look closely enough at it, it is a total 90 jersey. However, I'm kinda dissappointed that the metros went away from the touch of yellow that last year's jerseys had. It made the team distinct from just another copy of AC Milan, Leverkusen, etc... I'm fearful then when adidas takes over, the metros will just wear an AC Milan kit with a different patch.
I always find that a 2-D representation of most jerseys often makes the jerseys look pretty damn bad. For example: The 2-D drawings of the Crew jerseys (from the website): And now, the jerseys in reality: (thanks to Jeremy Goodwin for the pic) IMO, the Crew jerseys are pretty nice when they're actually displayed properly.
Considering how most Americans mispronounce the "Real" in "Real Salt Lake", imagine their mispronounciation of "Kaká". -G
is it just me or does it seem like the new adidas templates (dc united 2005 away, and columbus crew's 2005 home) bear an uncanny resemblence to the nike jersey templates of 2002-04? [/IMG] brazilian kits from 2003-04 vs [/IMG] crew kits 2005
that's not the actual kit... just a photoshopped NUFC jersey. The official jersey has not yet been revealed.
FWIW: training photos of the New England Revolution today unofficially confirm (read "the club hasn't announced it yet") that the Revs will be outfitted by Adidas in 2005. The Magpie
I take back my previous trepidation about Nike no longer outfitting the San Jose Earthquakes. As awesome as the Quakes' uniforms were during the 2000-2004 seasons, it seems that their (along with some other MLS teams') change to Adidas happened at just the right time! -G P.S. = That wasn't so much a knock against the Galaxy and the MetroStars as it was against Nike's Total 90 uniform design.
