Is it possible, or should I say how possible is it? I mean if Zenit, and CSKA do good then it should work out right? Rubin and Terek pretty much ruined those chances though. http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/data/method3/crank2005.html
It's been discussed before. No, we are not getting an additional spot and it has nothing to do with the Chechens and Tatars. At this point, we are paying for Spartak's European spankings of 2001, 2002 and 2003.
Spartak had no fault in 2001, maybe in 2002/2003, but they got us 12 coefs, and loko got us 8, it was the others that ********ed it up for us
Spartak earned ZERO points in their last 9 games in CL play, if memory serves. Other than CSKA's gag job against Vardar, there is NO RPL team since since 2000 that is more responsible for Russia's lack of CL/UEFA Cup slots than the Meat.
since 2000? wtf are you talking about, 2000-2001 they earned 12 coeffs, loko earned 8, the rest earned either 1 or 0, they weren't responsible for that, but if you count that as 2000- here you go... season 2003-2004 CL and UEFA 10 Russia 4 teams 10 6 8 1 23.5 5.875 27 Lokomotiv Moscow CL 4 2 4 1 10.0 49 Spartak Moscow UC 3 1 2 0 7.0 54 Torpedo Moscow UC 3 2 1 0 6.0 143 CSKA Moscow CL 0 1 1 0 0.5 so now that spartak earns 7, 2nd most in 2003, its their fault as well? hrmm... moving on
http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/data/method3/crank2005.html i still think its possible we need to be ranked 21 or above, and we are already ranked 16, now if u drop the 3.84 i think, we are in the mid 20's (24?) and thats without dropping the other teams rankings, so if zenit keep winning and cska win enough, its more than possible.
i'm not even going to argue because ive proven my point... but the fact remains that there is a LARGE chance of 2 russian teams in CL
