Is it fair to say that in Portugal There are only “dois grandes” now ? Porto just won its 29th title. Sporting has 18 and has only Won twice in nearly 40 years. That is only one more league title than Boavista. I think Sporting is more like a mid table side. Similar to Braga or Guimaraes. But I still respect them and their youth program.
Most of my contacts in Portugal are aware that Sporting is a mess. Most people believe that BdC was doing a good job and was framed. You should vote him back in.
Sporting is really a mid table Club right now. Look at the league table, they are far closer to moreirense than Porto now. The sportinguistas need to bring back BDC.
Bdc was probaly the best president they have had. They actually made a legit challenge for the league and should have won it that year as they were the best team. Years ago I changed teams myself and lost to my former side. That manager was mostly continuing my tactics . Haven’t lost to him since.
