Eusebio will be in Toronto Canada on the celebration of the NASL championship in 1976, he was the captain for the Toronto Metros own by the Croatians. Eusebio won the NASL before Pele did in 1977 with the Cosmos. I believe Eusebio score a goal in a national televise game against I believe the Minnesota Kicks.

THanksgiving for us is in October.

And I could not give a flaming hoot about Eusebio being in Toronto.

I go to a lot of Montreal Impact games. Gotta support the games at all levels. My family is from Porto and we have a couple of homes in Porto thus I am a Portista. I also live most of the year in Montreal and so I must support my MOntreal Impact!!!

the first half is over.........A very chippy game........

the first chance belonged to fc.porto on a cross and Deco just missed the net on a header.....costinha scored in stoppage time on a cross to make 1-0 porto........but just a couple seconds later Serginho(boavista) hit the post............

I believe was Eder who hit the post the ex player for Uniao de Leiria.
Costinha did had a great first half, the reason I would put him on the defence midfield against England.
The game is been to physical with no respect between the players, its the problem with portuguese soccer, or the Jaime Pacheco way, when his playing for a tie. I expect the game will open more in the second half, know that a goal was score. Porto was the team that attack the most in the first half.

I am happy everybody supports there local teams special in Canada were I think the game will be growing big in the next couple years. I expect Edmonton to have a team in the A League next year, I also see the A League talent his improving and not to far off from the MLS. Back to the game.
What happen to Baia?I believe after the first game
he was bench, he his in on the stands.
If Porto wins the game, Nuno my be the starting goalkeeper in the future, don't be surprise if Quim will call to the national team..

    Boavista-0Porto-1

    Boavista 0-Porto-1
a very hard fought game, very physical, it was like a boxing match blow by blow.
Very important win for Porto, and a disappointing lost for Boavista, with only one pt to show for it.
Nuno Espirito Santo the ex Corunha goalkeeper was outstanding and he won the starting job, Deco was the difference between the game against Boavista and the game against Belenenses, Costinha his back in shape and he looks like his health a ready for a great year.
Boavista I like Bonsingwa, Eder also look good, until he lost his head and was show a red card, and Ricardo.
What can Leiria do when they lost at least four players in today's game Eder, Nuno Valente, Derlei and Tiago.

Vancouver Whitecaps yes was Valentine and the Lennarduzzi brothers, they had a great team they gave the Cosmos some hard times, its good to see the A League is coming up with some great excitement in Portland, Rochester, Seattle, Vancouver, Montreal, El Paso, Minnesota, Milwaukee etc, next year they will do better job selling season tickets, because they have a foundation to build on. Competition is great and the MLS needs competition. Hope to see a team at that beautiful stadium in Edmonton.
    I remember the Edmonton Drillers.

How can Joao Manuel Pinto get a 4, he didn't even suit up for the game, he was out with a injury. Ricardo Rocha and Argel were the central defenders, I could see Argel get a top number he score the first goal for Benfica.
I will check 24 horas twomorrow today was a holiday.

Good catch...they must have made an error. Either that or JMP had a great game on the bench.

I wish there was a thread for the II Liga, do to the newspapers I was not able to find the standings, I know Estrela Amadora a ex I liga won the first two games, my team in the II liga Ovarense won one game lost another. Ovarense is about 8 to 10km from my apartment in Torreira, Aveiro
I played junior ball for Estarreja they in the 3rd division if not mistake they won big, they 1-1. They about 8 to 10 km from my house, Avanca in the 3division is about the same. I am surronder by Soccer teams within 10km.
