I hope Werder doesn't come out storming again since a 1:0 is better than a 2:1. Pasanen probably out for this one and Fritz not fit in time. I predict this lineup: Wiese - Owo, Merte, Naldo, Tosic - Jensen, Baumann, Diego, Borowski - Hunt, Rosenberg Depending on his fitness Sanogo might get the start over Hunt who would then replace Borowski in midfield. Almeida is also an option.
Put Pasanen instead of Tosic and Özil instead of either Borowski or Baumann. I´d also like to see Almeida and Sanogo starting. 3-0 or 4-1
My line-up prediction: Wiese - Owo, Mertesacker, Naldo, Pasanen - Baumann - Borowski, Jensen - Diego - Sanogo, Almeida Possibly Hunt or Rosenberg will play instead of Almeida, I doubt that there is a reason to leave out Sanogo, Saturday (Ivory Coasts 3rd place match) to Wednesday should be enough time to get back. However as bad as Naldo was recently, I wouldn't rule out that Tosic, Harnik or Özil play instead and Pasanen or Baumann play centerback. Anyway, Braga should not be a problem for Bremen.
My line-up prediction: ---------------Wiese---------------- Harnik-----Merte----Naldo----Pasanen -------------Baumann--------------- ------Jensen-----------Ozil---------- --------------Diego------------------ ---------Sanogo--Klasnić------------- Borowski is in his mind alredy in Munchen and Ozil is new and he need to play more with team. Harnik played well against Schalke in this position and i think he can repeat good play . 60' Almeida for Klasnić 70' Rosenberg for Sanogo 90'+3 Borowski for Ozil Prediction: 4-1
You gotta realize that when Werder plays it's not really up to the opponent whether they are a problem for Werder or not. Werder can win against a team like Real Madrid one day and lose to a team like let's say Espanyol Barcelona or FK Pirmasens the next. They can even beat the crap out of a team like Ajax one day and almost lose all of that advantage in the return leg. I call that the "Werder-Bremen-rollercoaster-effect". P.S.: Hunt will get the start since he's been one of the best lately.
Braga should not be a problem in this game for Werder. As much as it pains me this isn't the same team that was on the rise in Portugal for the past 5 years. They are dropping in the league table at a really fast rate, have a revolving door for already failed managers and a president that just wants to make a profit on players as soon as he can make a little more then what he payed for. Last year Tottenham defeated us 3-2 twice despite having much better players and complete control of the games. We at least had heart and most of a team that played together for years to make the scoreline respectable. With our current form playing Bremen I gotta feeling it's gonna be a really embarrassing scoreline. Best of Luck to your team regardless.
Fritz will be today or on Saturday in the squad. Frings needs more time - definite not this month. If you can receive German tv, the match is broadcasted at ZDF.
absolute BULLSHIT PENALTY ON A GREAT 1v1 save by Wiese!! HE SAVES IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
