The FA Cup has been won, it's been a few days and we're all still buzzing about it, but its time to get back to business and make 3rd place ours. Thus not have to play an early summer Champions League Qualifier and laughing at the Arse all summer.

Balotelli out injured, Silva doubtful with knee, Tevez to start on bench, Yaya to possibly be rested.

All via Ian Ladyman, grim news if true as our three top scorers and main assister will be out if all of those don't start. And without Silva we often seem so creatively barren.

On the other hand, Stoke are expected to have some missing too, including Etherington, Pennant, and possibly Huth.

He did go on to say Silva not definitely out. Dzeko could work up front with Silva, johnson and i didn't see anything about yaya. Gives Milner a chance to play a part.

According to mfcf.co.uk, the team is: Hart, Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Zabaleta, De jong, Yaya Toure, Milner, Adam Johnson, Silva and Tevez.

Would really love to take third from the Arse and go directly into the group stage. That way I can start planning my trip across the pond to be at Eastlands for the first ever CL game. :D

He just needs one more goal to tie with Berbatov, right?

Yes, that gives him 20 to 21 for Berbatov.

And Joleon Lescott makes it 2-0! From the radio broadcast I'm listening to, it sounds fully deserved.

Well, he's never going to get there if Tevez gets the rest of the goals. In other words, Tevez just scored on a free kick.

Make that 2 for Tevez! Batista is an idiot for leaving him out of the national team.

Does this mean they're going to share the award or what?

    Awesome game. Just awesome.

Glad to get a SWP sighting there. I miss him. Loved how our fans gave him a standing ovation. He, Joe Hart, and Micah Richards know what it is to bleed sky blue.

Quality performance, something has really clicked at this club and the catalyst was beating United in the FA Cup semis. Stoke used to bombard and trouble us, yet managed 2 shots on goal in 180 minutes.

If Tevez really is staying, next season could see us become a real major force, push for the Premier League and at least the knockout stages of Champions League (quietly have confidence we might be able to do more but best not to get giddy).

It's good that they are currently tied with 21 goals. This gives Tevez more reason to score goals against Bolton. At this point, I am just scared that our team is full of complacency, satisfied with the FA Cup and finishing 4th.

Screw third, lets get second! I think 14 goals should do the trick!

No complacency should exist. Like I said before... Win 1 match now avoid two later... Longer holiday!

yes, but there's always the "typical city." I hope we won't see it this time.

I have to be honest... "Typical City" is dying in the vernacular almost as fast as "35 years"

It's like quitting smoking. You feel like you quit then fall of the wagon. It sure does seem we have turned a corner but we have been fooled before so we City fans are waiting for the beating we don't see coming. Well we see it coming we just deny it.
