Drogba already hit the crossbar with a header. Sounds like we're doing more than enough on the counter.

Meanwhile CSKA are up 1-0. If these results hold, we'll have helped Roman's "other club" into the knockout stages.

As I say that, PSG scores to be level with CSKA.
UEFA reporting that Duff's goal was a bit of a blunder by the Porto keeper. I'll take it. :D

he went 1v1, beat his man at the edge of the box(right side) and sent a shot in ala gronks twice last season to the top far corner, the keeper got one outstreched hand on it but thats all

You been overdoing the green tea again?

    You're new - so i'll explain.

Putting up a thread as you did was fine for pre-match banter - no probs.

GPK (or anybody that did it ,for that matter) had already started the game thread, identifiable by that bloody great big [R] in the thread title.
All game posts giving away play by play action, events and...wait for it...[R]esults, must go in that thread.
Thats the rules of the admin.
Mods must enforce those rules, thats why there are mods.

    Cool?

Jawdee....he he he he...that always did get under your lots skin dinnit?

bit of a dull 1st half, good goal + Drogba hit the crossbar, but the passing & tackling have been woeful, and Porto's shooting has been really bad...but that's o.k.

Right. Ok mate. I dont understand all of the rules of Big Soccer yet. I just thought you were taking it out on me, cause sarabella wanted to marry me, and she knew blatently that i was playing along.

I have the first convo saved, which lasted 3 hours, if you dont believe me.

Well, we've got 3 defensive minded players in midfield, and Lampard's not REALLY a hole player; he's normally a bit deeper than that so he can hit long balls, at which he's quite good. Doesn't look too good for Celtic, for anyone that cares, as Shakhtar have already scored two against Barca.

I get the feeling JM does not want to blow his former club out of the water unnecessarily and that's why he chose the lineup he did... I have no other explanation for it.

No - its a complete skeleton squad. I don't even recognize some of the names. Puyol was taken off at halftime, too. How come we get UEFA warnings about playing a full squad when they put out their reserves? Our reserves are nearly all full internationals!

Drogba's been caught offsides almost 10 times I think. Time to put on Eidur or Kezman. Oh, and Robben's on for Duff.
I don't really understand why we're playing so many first choice players if we're going to half ass the effort.

Meanwhile CSKA look to go through as they've scored twice in Paris after going down to 10 men. (Their first ever away goals in the CL, to boot.)
Werder and Valencia are still nil-nil, so if Claudio's side don't score a goal in the next 15 minutes its curtains for him in the CL.

As somebody pointed out earlier, it's probably so as not to have any appearance of aiding the Moscow side, or even Porto themselves, given the ties to the teams.

Only thing i can think of.
