Should be an interesting first 11...Although not as big as Sunday, this should be a fun game to watch becuase of the pressure Porto is under.

It would be most appreciated if you lot would save the customary 4-nil drubbing you normally dish out for Arsenal :)

I really hope that this doesn't distract from the team. It's kind of scary. I know we all take this stuff seriously and get angry but I don't understand how people can take it that far. Winning the Euro Cup should have been the highlight on Jose's career so far and for someone to take that away from him is an absolute disgrace.

SPOT THE REFERENCE COMPETITION: The weather in Oporto is pleasant and mild. The tempature was 13 degrees at the Airport, which is stupid because i don't know anyone who lives at the airport, downtown's much hotter...downtown's on fire man.

Actually ... iTV's showing the Arsenal v. Rosenborg match now  Can't really blame them, though ... So those of us in the UK/Ireland have practically no chance of seeing the match. Ah well, at least there's sunday's :D

I expected they would as it has more riding on it. Are they not showing Chelsea on ITV2? If not it will almost be as much fun watching the Gooners sweat it out. For the good of the English clubs keeping the 4th CL place I want to see Arsenal go through but I hope they are made to work very hard for it.

ITV has afew channels .They show a game on ITV3 at the same time .
But you gotta have satellite or cable to watch it.
I love the way every single champions league game gets screened now that Sky sports are involved .

Yeah, you're right. Just checked and they're showing it on iTV2. God hates me, though. It's the only iTV we don't have on Dublin digital cable !

Ooo... thanks adri! The lad cleans up nice too! :D

I'm very lucky, the local bar here is showing a replay of the match after work, which I will be catching tonight.

In that picture he looks EXACTLY like a friend of mine, unfortunately that friend died 4 years ago of an OD. Nice to think of him again...it had been awhile.

Kezza does clean up nice though.

I can do PbP, I come sitting here writing a paper on Seventeenth Century English literature...more specifically Milton struggle between humanism and being a Puritan.

I'll be putting in PbP and keeping you updated on Arsenal's game against Roseborg.

Is that a 5-4-1? Weird lineup. Why not give Huth a runout in this one? Why play all of our good defenders? I know Jose knows all, but this seems odd.

    Huth is injured:

"The only player missing from the squad is Robert Huth. He has a slight ankle injury."

Yes Chelsea TV had it as 442 diamond with Parker Holding, Bridge left, smertin right and Frankie up front.

At least Bridge has a couple of England games in that role on the left of midfield

Huth is injured - thanks Astorian, did not know that. I'd have wanted to see Cole in for Lampard in this one, honestly. Lets see what he can do, ya know?

I agree but he may be starting with Lamp to show UEFA he has strong team, though the amount of internationals on the 2nd team speaks for itself, I would be suprised if he plays the 2nd half.
