I think this guy Robben, is going to be a star for you guys. He looks like a class act. Would bank on him scoring in the second half. :)

12-0 up on corners at half time with id imagine between 60% & 70% of position, but the toffee's are playing really doggedly in terms of defence.perfect example is the fact that apart from one or two scrambles in the box weve really only created one decent chance that first half, the shot tipped over the bar from robben & everton had equally as good a chance from a header which forced chech into a great save.

if chelsea are going to win today were going to have to win it based on that first half, because everton even though their being pinned into their own half their not giveing much away and playing well as a unit.

i think we'll definately get a few more chances in the second half but the toff's could always score on a break away,i just hope we can wear them down and take any opportuneity that might fall our way.

    could be a close one..........

So it's a scoreless first half. Let's hope Chelsea scores some in the second half...I think Chelsea will score two goals this half.

Ah, I cant watch the live game, but all the minute by minute made it seem that way. Possession has been about 60% Chelsea, Everton only has 2 shots on goal so I just figured  Anyway, we really need to find a goal.

Huth on for Duff - 82'

    previous subs:
    Kezman for Tiago
    Geremi for Gudjohnsen

Apparently we're playing 5 in defense with Terry acting as sweeper behind Huth and Carvalho. With Mak in front they should be near impossible to break down.

Just a way to keep Huth happy, imho. However, letting a desperate team stream forward is rather dangerous. We'd have been better off just taking the possession they were giving us.

I was bummed to see Chelsea win (in terms of the title race). But congrats. Everton is not oozing with talent but Moyes has them playing again this year. Beating them at this point is no easy feat to accomplish.

great result,in fairness everton made it really tough today but ultimately we took our chance when it came around.everybody did their job today and worked really hard, which resulted in us grinding out a great result & what could be a very important three points come the end of the season.

everton on another day could have come away with a point or even more,we did really well against a tough opponent today,it's results like this that will only strenghten the teams belief, that the squad can push on for honours.

really pleased with the lad's perforamce today......bravo[IMG]

Shark is the famous one in the sea, but there are many others.
Who would have expected Palace to stop Arsenal? Infact it could have been worse. Palace missed a clear winner.
Who cares we are number one!!

Well now, that was a hugely entertaining game i thought - despite being another 1-0 to the Chelsea :D

That Robben looks the real deal i must say, perhaps too, we may at last have a decent free kick specialist again. This wide play by Duff and Robben is great stuff to watch, even ferriera seemed to be released by Mourinho and out in a few quite good crosses.

Thought our defense was a tad off today, especially the positioning of both center halves on set pieces and crosses, but we lucked out.
I was also happy to see that we stuck with the game plan and didn't resort to long range belters as the game wore on.

Fair play to the Toffs, they came to play football even though they defended most of the game.Their effort was quite good i thought and clearly shows their deserving of the position they're in.

Top of the league as Arsenal slip up at Palace - who should have won the game i might add.Hope the wheels continue to come off there!

Cech did well in a typical English style attack fron them, i doubt Cudicini would have handled all those crosses as effectively and i'll bet that Bent thought he was hit by a truck when he was clobbered by Cech when he came for and punched that one cross away.Thats the type of keeper thats need in the league.

Breaking down teams and grinding out 1-0 results like this is the stuff that will win the league.Although, i don't know if it's fair too say that it was a grinding out really, we played well and deserved the win.

Well what an excellent day all round. The atmosphere in the Bridge was good today too especially in the 2nd half, and fair play to the toffies for their contribution.

I think they are the first Prem side this season to take up both allocations of tickets for the way section. Even Spurs only had the one half.

It is always fun playing against a team from Merseyside there are so many of the old songs that are wheeled out and polished up for the occation.

I think the only comment I need to make on the game is:

    Robben is class.

Indeed, Mourinho had something to say about this:

-Mourinho criticised Chelsea’s supporters, saying they should back their title-chasing team more enthusiastically.

"2,500 Everton supporters supported their team more than 35 or 36,000 Chelsea supporters. I feel our fans can give us a bit more," he said".

    hmm...
