This is how I live now.

Yedlin starting on the wing. Cameron starting on the bench.

Shawcross sent off for a 2nd yellow. Perfectly clean tackle. Maybe this'll liven things up.

    Cameron on

Sunderland changing shape a bit - "going for it".

Goal for Sunderland! Van Aanholt hits a low bullet off a free kick. Dubious foul to earn the free kick.

    great strike

Watmore scored from an acute angle off a throw in.

    2-0 Sunderland. wow

I suppose Yedlin get the assist.

Remember all the BS experts who thought Sunderland were a lock to go down.

    Ya, about that.

Well, if they can manage to play 11 v 10 every game, they've certainly got a better chance to stay up!

Maybe they can work a deal.

I support DC United and thus have met my quota for boring, defensive, disjointed, negative football. Barca is the antidote to my pain.

They're out of the drop zone. Never thought I'd say that, at least not so soon.

No mention of Cameron's involvement in the goal against. Was he involved, or did it constitute another case for him starting over one of the alternatives (I hope)?

But that's Allardyce for you. His teams generally avoid the drop.

Not at fault at all for either. 2nd goal was a flub by Pieters and some slow feet by Wolly. GCam came over to try to to cover but too late, nice shot.

1st goal was no one's fault, nice shot.

Our boy should start next week with Shawcross on suspension.

    I watched the last 40 minutes .

Yedlin: I was disappointed in his lack of movement. He passes the ball and just stands. With a man up, he wasn't of any threat going forward. He should have made Arne work a lot harder but didn't. In the time I saw, he made 1 very nice cut in run off the ball and was played in very nicely. He did very well to get a foot on it. Need to see allot more of that. He needs to own that flank up and down the entire game, in my opinion.

Geoff:. Played well for the most part, down a man with lots of pressure on them. Not at fault for the goals.

He was playing too well not to start regularly in the Premier League. Very frustrating. Hopefully Wolly effs up again and Cameron takes over that spot permanently.

Looks like Yedlin was playing rwb. Interesting, because that's his best position, IMO. The team functioned well with him on the field, and he himself scored a solid 7.1 on WS. Sounds like he had an assist. Good weekend for him.

I guess Fat Sam is good for something then. That's why he's brought in. To help teams avoid drops with defensive postures and gameplanning. Not a guy you want if you want to make a move in the league though.

The "assist" was a Yedlin throw in. Extremely generous to even reference his involvement in the goal, TBH. Sunderland played a man up for half the game, not sure Fat Sam gets credit for this win.

League Cup game in midweek, so Shawcross will be back next weekend. Absolute joke of a decision from a joke of a ref.

I feel like Stoke got jobbed today. Every foul went S'land's way, the second yellow wasn't, and Pantilimon got away with handling the ball outside his area. Not that there's anything bad with it, I want S'land to stay up (still doubt it).

Didn't see much of the match - and neither of the non-calls in question, but S'land fan were crying about two non-calls in the box. One involving Cam and the other with Fletcher. Knowing Fletch as well as I do, I have no doubt he went down as easy as a souffle in an earthquake. No idea bout the earlier one.
