Was info on the Austrailia match posted somewhere in here before the infamous BigSoccer housecleaning? I can't remember. http://www.soccertv.com/women.cfm Sun Nov 17 12:30PM Pacific Sun Nov 17 01:30PM Mountain Sun Nov 17 02:30PM Central Sun Nov 17 03:30PM Eastern Length: 2 hr LIVE ESPN - US Feed Women's International Friendly United States vs Australia Sun Dec 22 11:30AM Pacific Sun Dec 22 12:30PM Mountain Sun Dec 22 01:30PM Central Sun Dec 22 02:30PM Eastern Length: 2 hr LIVE ESPN2 - US Feed Women's International Friendly United States vs TBA
I don't recall this being mentioned, but with the Alzheimer's beginning to set in... Do you know WHERE they are playing the matches? thanks! Norma
Yes, there was a brief blurb posted from an Australian newspaper announcing a proposed doubleheader between the Australian and the US WNT & MNT. Assuming the DH is still in the works, I guess we're looking for a large-capacity stadium in a part of the country where the weather's good in mid-November...
Here we go -- from Socceroos to tackle stars of World Cup "The game against the US will be part of a double-header also involving Australia's women's team, the Matildas, and the powerful US women's team, which won the last women's World Cup and narrowly lost to a Norway golden goal in the final of the Sydney Olympics football tournament." "The games would take place in the US....The game .....will be in November."
*whispering* Psst...look at the first post in this thread. Weird to have all the other info but not a location of the games yet!! Hey, how about California??
I think SAS would be an ideal place to host this match. (not that I'm biased livin in NC or anything ) But really, its the newest soccer-specific stadium in the country, and it really would be a great place to host an international match.
Just noticed this on soccertv.com : Sun Oct 06 11:00AM Pacific Sun Oct 06 12:00PM Mountain Sun Oct 06 01:00PM Central Sun Oct 06 02:00PM Eastern Length: 2 hr LIVE ESPN2 - US Feed Women's International Friendly - US Women's Cup United States vs Australia Cary, North Carolina It's not the same match we've been talking about in this thread, but it's still USA vs. Australia at SAS! If this listing is accurate, it looks like you get your wish!
