Seriously, I did see what I am sure was a BS report that says Juve is going to ask Werder for Frings or has asked Werder for Frings.......

If these reports are true, which I suspect they are not, I guess they are going back to their strategy of early to mid 90s and raiding Germany to get themselves back to the top as Andy Moeller apparently suggested to them.

Is it just me or are a lot of clubs abroad becoming more interested in German players or players from the Bundesliga?

I think this would be a great development

I'd like it if it stays the way it is actually with regards to german players.

It's not just now but these players had interest showin in them after wc2002 as well.

Frings has already said he wanted to stay with Werder, in fact he was trying to convince Klose to stay with Werder. I just hope he doesnt go with Klose during the summer.....however if he does, there could be quite a budget for Werder to go shopping with in order to fill those gaps!

Frings has already said that, when he would leave Werder Bremen, he'll only went off to Aachen. Frings was growed up in Aachen, that's the reason for its interests to that club.

well he is 30...so he doesn't have much time left at Werder...it would be good for him to retire with Aachen...since they helped jumpstart his career

    30 is nothing.

he can play another 4 years if he wants to.

and he intends to do so as well since the next world cup will be when he is 33

i think that is more than reasonable, stay with Werder for a couple more seasons, at least until his last WC, then move to Aachen to retire.

by the way, are Werder trikots available to purchase in the long sleeve version at Weserstadion?? or are they only available to the players??

    thanks

i hope he can too, he is the anchor of our team (defensively). I just hope we extend Diego's contract quickly before he has such an amazing season that he is whisked away to the Premiership!!:p

he did say the next world cup was his goal

and that if they had won this time then he would have quit the national team.

No I think that he did say that somewhere. That that's the only club he'd move to.

    1. Frings is not going anywhere. If he leaves to a ************ team like aachen, he will go when he is at least 35.. this is a rediculous deiscussion.

    2. There is no need to extend diego's contract this year, we have him for 3.5 more years... we would have to waste money on his contract if we make a new contract now... he will surely get more money

When ********ing Ashley Young moves to Villa for 9 million pounds and almost the same price is being floated around for Frings, that is why. I'd reckon Werder could let go for Frings for 15-20 million or even less, and Frings is 10X the player Ashley Young is.

Werder have just signed Ajax striker Markus Rosenberg.

Does anyone have the correct transfer fee?
