That's twice, at least, Pulisic picks Sevilla's pocket for a turnover. The counter dies at Kai's feet.

 

We'll see how it plays out but on Saturday it looked an awful lot like they tend to drift into the same spaces too.

I think Puli has more successful tackles than key passes.

 

I mean, at least he's demonstrating work rate.

 

Mount and Kai are operating in the space Pulisic was in after the restart and they've been brutal.

 

Kante is so overrated. He runs around a lot, but he distrupts the Chelsea attack more than he does the Sevilla attack.

 

Pulisic barely getting the ball and Chelsea in general looks disorganized moving forward. Kind of a mess out there.

 

It's because Lampard has him playing too far forward.

Really want to see Pulisic on the left already. At least make the switch in game for a different look or something. It's not that hard...

 

take the best pure 6 in the world and consistently try to play him (or let him play) as an 8 and this is what happens (shrugging emoji)

 

Yeah, Kante shields the back line and disrupts attacks as good as anyone in the past 10 years, but his game is definitely niche. Get him out of it and he's average.

 

I actually think Weston McKennie would play the role Kante is playing better than Kante.

 

Kai hasn't shown me anything yet.

He looks weak and soft, turning the ball over too often.

 

There are five subs allowed. Pulisic won't be on the field long enough to benefit from a position change.

 

Give him a break. He donated blood at half-time.

 

He definitely isn't a possession guy. This lineup doesn't have anyone other than Pulisic who can keep the ball at his feet longer than a half-second.

 

Yeah he's a disruptor/destroyer with no creative skills and limited passing range. You can't pair him with Jorginho and expect to create anything against a halfway organized side.
