Location: BC Place, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
    Weather Forecast: Clear; H 75, L 63
    Competition: Major League Soccer
TV: Fox Sports Southwest+ [Local]; Direct Kick [Out of Market]
Radio: KFLC 1270 La Voz del Pueblo
Last Result for Opponent: Defeated Salt Lake 2-1 on Saturday
    Record of Opponent: 10-7-7
    Last 5 for Opponent: W-L-W-T-L
Shea, de Guzman, and Rodriguez have been called up to their respective national teams for the various friendlies. Vancouver will be missing Mitchell, Richards, Teibert, Barbara, and Mattocks. Regardless, the Whitecaps are a very hot/cold team but definitely have it together at home usually. This will be a tough game.

And the game is on fake turf, which we don't seem to like much. Hope Pertuz can play. I thought I saw Warshaw on the bench Saturday night? Can he play in the back if needed?

Mattocks is out for them? Why? That sucks for my fantasy team. Koffie is out due to yellow card accumulation.

So who plays the other winger, opposite side of Castillo? No Shea or Rodriguez and i'm assuming that Jackson is still out. Leyva?

And with de Guzman out playing for Canada, i suppose DH is going to be starting again. Lets hope AJ and Ferreira both have great games

National team duty is what I gathered from the article.

I didn't know de Guzman would be out. So what kind of lineup are we looking at here?

I would like an A@@ kicking here. I haven't forgotten what happened the last time FCD played there and how it has affected the team ever since. FCD can hire DeJong for this game and turn him loose.

    ------------Hartman-------------
    ---Loyd--John--Hedges--JB---
    Castillo--DH--Jacobson--Rodriguez
    ---------------DF10---------------
    ---------------Luna----------------

I would prefer Marcalin over Hernandez for pure mobility, but don't think that will happen. Sealy will probably get the run out too over Luna, but oh well.

Are we going to be playing Luna or Sealy up top this time around?

I have no idea what to do with Shea and Rodriguez gone.

And what's going on with Jackson now?

Rodriguez is out though. Could Marcelin fill in on the left?

It could be JM...artificial turf and old, injured knees can be a bad combination. Maybe Leyva gets a chance? Is he still on the team?

Oh, I don't think I knew he was Jamaican. I assumed he was American or Canadian. In any case, they will indeed be missing a lot of starters.

Right, brain fart. I'd like to see Leyva play wide 10 times before we even try Marcalin there ;)

MLS Injury Report has him listed as "doubtful" due to concussion symptoms. The list gets updated every tuesday and friday though, so it might change tomorrow. I would doubt it though, seeing as how long Ugo and G. John were( Ugo is still out, obviously) out for concussions

I think you are gonna see either Levya, or Benitez moving up to play left wing..and I think we lose 2-0.

Is this just a massive coincidence that our guys keep getting "concussion symptoms?" Does the heat affect this at all?

I was thinking that too: what is the meaning of all this!? Concussion systems? From what? Do they just appear?

I think it has to do with more and more medical studies within the last few years that have been revealing the seriousness and long-term effects of concussions. Professional leagues of all kinds have been revising how they deal with and treat players that have suffered concussions. It has been taken much more serious in recent years, and i think that organizations are airing on the cautious side when it comes to head injuries. Look at the NFL for example....they implemented the "no head-to-head" tackle rule a couple of years ago to try and lessen these types of injuries (i hope that its not blasphemous to talk about american football on these forums :p)

Many thanks for these updates, i appreciate updated news like this so much.

I'm glad that Pertuz's injury wasn't serious. After seeing how his leg/knee seemed to hyperextend so much in the replay, i was worried that it was going to be a more serious injury. With Zach back this next game it won't be too big of a deal, but its always good news that our players are healthy. And who knows, maybe Hyndman will now choose to move Benitez up to left mid for this game and put Pertuz at left back? I'd rather see Leyva get a chance at left mid, but this gives us options

The best news is hearing that Jackson will be making the trip for these two games this week. If hes ready to go on Wednesday then i have confidence that we could very well get three points this game. Jackson in his current form is just as good as Shea in his current form, in my honest and very humble opinion. I just wish that Hyndman would be more straightforward with us on things......"Yeah, hes on the trip. Yeah, hes doing better". How about telling us if he is most likely ready to start or not?!?!

I would still like to see either Pertuz, John or Hedges at dmid over Hernandez on artificial turf or Marcelin. Perhaps Warshaw is back in the picture (probably needs sub minutes before a start)?
