I'm going to watch the game. Anyone interested in a pbp?

I'll at least post important things like goals.

Commentators: Max someone and Tracy Milburn.

They change 1, why not both? I guess Milburn is very difficult to get rid of, just ask freedom fans.

BRRRR, it looks cold there in Victoria.

Jamaica in yellow, green and black in a 4-4-2

Costa Rica in a 4-4-2 wearing red and blue.

    Sandra Hunt is the ref.

The female announcer makes Roy Wegerle seem smooth.

I just got home. Bretos is doing this?

    :D

Yeah it is Bretos doing the PBP.

The CR keeper is wearing a hat. It is indeed looking very cold in Victoria, BC.

    There is no one there....

Still nil nil in the 6th minute. Sandra Hunt reffing the match.

    I must now go cook.

Where is the match on Espanol? They better be showing it at 10 with the Canadian match on an hour delay or I am going to be mad.

I'm watching this too. Never seen a goalkeeper wearing a knit watchcap before.

12th minute and not much really going on with the match now. Kick, kick, turnover.

Pretty sure both of these warm weather teams love playing in Canada.

28th minute: first dangerous shot on goal of the game by the ticas. nice save by the goalie. They earn a corner, but nada.

anywho...it is cold in victoria, even for victoria standards...i posted a pre-game article today over at the canada thread, and it mentions how the other 3 teams will have to cope with the colder weather...i'm cold sitting here typing...brrr....

i kinda like that toque-ish thing the CR keeper is wearing! lol

Why subject warm weather teams to conditions like this? If the Gold Cup was held smack dab in the middle of the summer then maybe it's a decent idea to have one of the sites this far north. But jeez it does appear cold there and this has to affect the play of both teams right now. Perhaps group two should play somewhere else like SoCal or Arizona. One good thing about Safeco is that you can close the roof.

    Milburn's giggle annoys me.

The number 10 for CR has some nifty moves.

Well you gotta keep warm some how :p

33rd minute still nothin much happening.

Ticas are still doing a better job of possessing the ball and winning it in the midfield.

I don't see anyone in the far side stands, anyone in attendance is probably in the bench side.

i think why they're playing in canada for group 2 is because of...canada. lol.

i think supposedly by putting canada's group games in their "home turf" might draw bigger crowds? but i have a feeling that that's not really gonna work in victoria......

plus, usually, i think the weather isn't AS cold as it is right now...

i remember one comment by wendy gebauer that totally pissed me off in relation to cold weather and canada playing in it. when we beat the USA 3-1 in columbs, it was in november and was a "cold" day...and wendy towards the end of the game was going on about how us canadians were more "accustomed" to playing in the cold than the US players, and that we had an advantage in that sense.

what BS. seesh...we aren't that far north from ya'll!

i hope it fills up more when canada's game starts...but i highly doubt.

being that it is a weeknight, and the numbers @ victoria were not that great for the canada vs. aussie game etc. hopefully ppl will come out and support the teams!!
