Helmond Cup update: Parma 1-2 Atalanta Next: Sunday 2 August Serie A, 38a Giornata Atalanta v Inter So it is guaranteed that the Helmond will be contested throughout August. Just a matter of whether it will flow through the Champions League or Europa League. By the end of August it will likely be resting outside Serie A.
Yup, and since neither Atalanta nor Inter are dealing with a R16 second-leg (like Bayern, for instance), if they lose the Helmond Cup it will go to the team that advances on in Europe. So it will reside with either the CL or EL winner on August 23rd.
Nice strike by this kid, still not sure we need him given other needs, his asking price, how he fits with what we have, etc. But hey Lautaro: https://streamja.com/meEO3
No Barca alums here so I'll post in OTT not former players (where the EPL one went due to Digne): Bayern already have 5 of 11, but some of the ones they don't have are leaving Timo to Chelsea, Hakimi to Inter, Sancho likely back to England and Man U. Making Bayern that much stronger (but their league weaker).
Entertaining match between Fulham and Cardiff City. The former would be an exciting team to have in the Premier league. Cardiff, OTOH, seem to rely on throw-ins as their biggest threat, but it almost worked. So it's a west London derby in the promotion playoff final: Fulham v Brentford.
Really want to see Brentford make it. They've never been in the Premiership before. Ironic if it happens we'll be replacing one "B" - team Bournemouth with another Brentford, who are an equally unlikely success story
Helmond Cup update: Atalanta 0-2 Inter So the Helmond will be working its way through the Europa League throughout August. Next: Wednesday 5 August UEFA Europa League, Round of 16 (in Gelsenkirchen) Inter Milan v Getafe
Dybala named Serie A Player of the Year - well deserved. He was far and away the best. He scored “only 11 goals” - but still won Player of the Year ahead of players with 36 and 31 goals. Shows you how decisive he is for Juve. https://app.football-italia.net/?re...t#article/footballitalia-156794&menu=news-all
Helmond Cup update: Inter Milan 2-0 Getafe Next: Monday 10 August UEFA Europa League, Quarterfinal (in Düsseldorf) Inter Milan v Rangers or Bayer Leverkusen
Wolves v Sevilla should make for an intriguing EL quarterfinal matchup. Sevilla looked quite impressive today against Roma (who are no pushovers judging from their Serie A form). Wolves currently lead Olympiacos 2-1 on aggregate.
Helmond Cup update: Next: Monday 10 August UEFA Europa League, Quarterfinal (in Düsseldorf) Inter Milan v Bayer Leverkusen
Don't understand City starting without Bernardo Silva today. Aguero I figured is injured as always and Foden is in pretty good form but no Silva could hurt them.
