Here’s a fun one for you.. Trump was allegedly going to be pardoning and commuting the sentence for about a hundred people today. Since we haven’t seen news about this yet, it is worth noting that there is precedent of an incoming President revoke pardons from his predecessor. Apparently, in order for the pardon to be valid, the person has to receive and accept it. If the incoming President revokes a pardon before it is received and accepted by the person being pardoned, it’s as if the pardon never happened.

 

He's just saying it's some fever dream of an idea that sounds like my work. And I'm insanely jealous that I didn't think if it first.

Actually, people in college did call me "spej" - because our communications were so often done through email and the local Usenet, everyone would get used to seeing each other identified by those Unix usernames, and we'd use them in real life. And then they get shortened to single syllables.

I didn't care for it.
