We finally have confirmation of the win, now who should go in what role? The list will be long and a bit wonky and some of you will know better people for the position than I will, but here are some of my suggestions. Susan Rice - SoS. If not, Homeland. If not that, NSA Pete Buttieg - UN Ambassador Elizabeth Warren - Sec Treasurer Bernie Sanders - Labor (or Andrew Yang - Labor) Tammy Duckworth - Sec Defense Keisha Lance Bottoms - HUD Jay Inslee - Interior Sally Yates - AG Others who should be in consideration for something: Doug Jones Gretchen Whitmier Julian Castro Cory Booker Kristen Gillibrand Eric Garcetti I'm leaving out both Stacy Abrahams and Beto O'Rourke because I think they should be left to focus on their states.
This is why we need to get those two Senators from Georgia elected. And even then, it's gonna be a serious headache.
Why would they do that? If they don't act on a nominee, Biden can just make that person acting director. So the Senate would just be forfeiting their right to disapprove of appointees.
I would ask Stacy to run the DNC but it seems to low profile. Ben Wikler the WI Dem chairman could be great at the role. I am willing to bet those three will be in the cabinet: Michelle Lujan Cedric Richmond Doug Jones. Michele Fauriol will be Sec Def (Not Duckworth) I don't think Bernie and Warren will be. They are needed in the senate and it will create a challenge to replace them.
I just watched the interview with Walker and I didn't realize all that he did. Holey shit, that was some really serous stuff he did. (I could feel the efforts in April, but not the degree of what he did.) I still think Stacy should stay in Georgia and get that governership. But I'm not pulling for Walker for DNC chair
I meant Wikler.... ... He is terrific indeed. Stacy will decide to do whatever she wants....She has earned this. I am such a big fan of her.
He promised to run the country like he ran his business. It ended with Rudy Giuliani outside Four Season Total Landscaping next to a dildo shop, after a staffer mistakenly thought the empty parking lot was a Four Seasons hotel. pic.twitter.com/hOKcyWopqi— Morten Øverbye (@morten) November 7, 2020
I say this in all seriousness ... Are there any GOP senators from a state with a Democratic governor who Biden could stick into some meaningless cabinet position?
this crossed my mind and I’m guessing the theoretical R Senator with a D Governor would just not accept the position.
