Sloppy day from gio. You can’t play both Delaney and dahoud in midfield. Just absolutely zero ideas going forward.
Tv had Chelsea ManU, large computer screen had Dortmund Schalke. And as soon as both were subbed off, both games were turned off.
I tried two games simultaneously. I cannot follow two (2) games very well simultaneously. Hopefully, I will be able to record one game and hope to avoid spoilers on the 2nd game while watching the first game. I tried this with three simultaneous games last week and it was a disaster.
If you have to tell someone that then they are surely expecting far too much. It wasn't Gio's best game... it seemed like he was consistently just an inch off from each pass on the day. And don't forget... if that defender trying to duck away from his shot doesn't barely clip the ball off his head we are talking about a Gio golazo. I am convinced that was headed to the back of the net. It is a game of inches a lot of the times... same type of tiny clip was the only thing keeping CP off the scoresheet today as well. AR could have had an assist today too if Lookman's ball off the woodwork is just an inch inside as well. Just seemed to be one of those days...
According to this article it looks like Reyna and Sancho will be rested against Zenit in keeping with Favre's rotation admidst the heavy schedule of games. Then there's a quote from Zorc saying they can't afford another slip-up. Hmmmm https://www.kicker.de/verschnaufen-...re-setzt-beim-bvb-auf-rotation-788156/artikel
🚨 BVB STARTING XI VS. ZENIT 🚨 pic.twitter.com/v8glBlgs7f— Borussia Dortmund (@BlackYellow) October 28, 2020 A bit surprised Gio isn’t being rotated, but very happy. What an attacking 4! Strange that this game and Chelsea disclosed their lineups well before the typical hour in advance.
yeah last week was an embarrassment of riches but it was a bit of stimulation overload. It would’ve been tough to take this week being the polar opposite.
None really shock me except for Dest.... but it will greatly reduce the amount of CL Football I need to watch.
Very good 1st half for Gio. Too bad that volley didn't find the back of the net. The balance and skill are so exceptional for a 17-year-old. BVB needs to spend a bit more attention to using the counter instead of always building slowly. They looked very dangerous in the few moments of transition they had. All the possession against the low-block...? Not so much. They need to try and switch things up and try and get a bit more space by attacking quickly when they win the ball in the midfield. At any rate.... nice to see Gio bounce back after what would be considered one of his poorest games. Really hoping for an assist or goal in the 2nd half. Feels like he is on the cusp.
They sometimes have the old Arsenal habit of wanting to walk the ball into the net. I'd like to see some more direct play. It should be possible with the front four.
Pretty solid 82 minute for Gio. I like it when he and Sancho are on the same side. He was at least part of the play that lead to the PK. Something lacking overall for BVB when playing against the low-block. Certainly something they need to be working heavily on as I expect it will continue to be the way underdogs play them.
Bellingham made the game a lot easier for Dortmund. Most games are won in the middle. I think the Mahmoud Dahoud era has mercifully come to an end w/ that performance. Never got it. He helps you in what area, exactly?
started strong and faded late. had some sloppy touches once he got tired. still, arrow is pointing straight up at 17 and already a key player seemingly at BVB.
