What do you mean? :D We lived in Muenchen for over 10 years and my parents really stressed reading and education. I guess that typical for educated immigrant families. My mom said we needed to always be reading a book. Since I did not particularly liked reading I gravitated toward sports. They also really encouraged sports. I really got into reading when out TV broke after the 1986 WC. We went almost 4 years without a TV. They just decided not to buy one. But we begged for one because of the WC in 1990 in Italy. Just in time to see Germany win it. :)

No worries. I am happy when people like the posts and get something out of them. Most of it I remembered from books I read about Bayern, biographies from players, history of the game, and European competitions when I was 10-18 years old. The public libraries in and around Muenchen have lots of great sports books.

Whats going on. Havent popped back into BS since I posted that note to you, actually. Sounds like you had a fun trip. Dunno if Ill ever get time to see my own country. Im going to be spending more time in Mexico, Brasil and Colombia over the next year. Some day, though...
Not going north for new years eve. Doing the same thing as last year - house party with friends. Going crazy with the party planning, which is why I came in here for some stress relief :)
Last night, the number was 60 people, today its gone up to 70. As if putting something like this together in a third world country wasn't hard enough already! :)
We should have just gone to Tote, as we were initially planning to. Despite the ridiculous 8500 entry fee being touted these days, its still less than the amount I paid at Indigo on Christmas eve...!

Anyway, have a happy new year, and tear up the dance floor wherever you've decided to let your hair down...

I bet he wouldn't mind that. He seems to have a thing for India. All his songs have an Indian tone to them and of course in his early days he was always using indian dancers etc...

but seriously, his lyrics are smtg else. worse than even Spears and other pop "artists." When he sings, it's like he's reading random words in a catchy tune from random pages of a dictionary lol
but as much as I like to hate, he does brings a good image to Iran and we need that baddddd lmao

"I didn't like Arash's WC song or boro boro, but this one is a catchy number."

Just be glad that you don't speak Farsi! If you could understand his bs lyrics you'd want to cut your own ears off lol
His songs are catchy, that's the only good thing about them.

And lucky for you there isn't much to see in colombo.

I believe that you can take in the feel of a place and the atmosphere better through your eyes and senses than a camera lens...it's that simple :p

Anyway, due to delays getting back i'm now in the US till the 5th of january..it'll be my first christmas/new years here.

Have I really come back to the same city I've spent most of my life in? I've been here 3 full days, and been to a fair few places already (Willingdon Friday night, Busaba Saturday dinner, Churchgate for Sunday morning football, Gallop for a Sunday brunch, back to Peddar Road to watch Spurs-Chelsea at a friends) and I've encountered almost no traffic so far.
Add to that, this bloody amazing weather (havent switched the a/c on so far, even during the day).
Despite the ridiculous jet lag, this is absolutely divine.

Yeah next thursday, and I leave the US early morning sunday. If she sends it, it will be sitting there at the house when i get back.

Oh yeah, I fly thru Philly to Burlington...straight from Muenchen.
It's nothing to worry about, there is no big hurry if she is busy but it's just that it would be pointless (not to mention the cost) if you send anything to NZ from NYC. Thats all :)

Thanks for the kind words Poorvi! I'm going through one of those tough times in life that we all face at some point or another, so BS and Bayern are literally my escape from the 'real world'. I come here to make friends, converse about the team I love, and to learn from the more learned posters that have followed the team longer than I have. Everyone's entitled to their opinions, and even entitled to rant and ramble....I just try to bring a little bit of perspective of reality to the party. So....that being said, when I get out of line, make sure to call me on it. I'm sure I will...it's just a matter of time! LOL... Thanks again, and please feel free to use my real name whenever you feel like it (Greg). Hope you have a good day (or night) today!

yeah, good stuff. Could not really watch this series at all though. H.singh is becoming a leader for india for the next generation of players.

Tell me when india has an australian top scorer in their women's team. They could use one, as australia are the world champs there too. :p
I've never watched them but I like women's football, for several reasons ;)
Poor EQ got a little bit agitated by our second goal, but we dominated enough to have won by 3-4 goals....see kuba's miss.
You guys play with so much on your shoulders, that's the difference. Hummels is staying for sure now :p
