In response to your question about putting a nameset on a kit: I did this once; the set I bought had iron instructions, but suggested using an actual press. I took it to my local sporting goods/ tshirt printing shop and had them use their heat press. Luckily a small town, so they didn't even charge me, but it probably wouldn't cost much to have it done right. Came out great. That would be the way to go if I were you.
