dang young wipper snappers - bilingual, but lacking reading comprehension skills I was not crying or complaining. I was explaining how the word 'bigote' could easily be misunderstood by monoglots, which still constitutes the majority of Americans. I understand that this is changing but in common dialog on a 99% English language website an educated person should understand that other languages may cause confusion for the multitudes not as gifted as they. I have no idea what 'No llores cabron' means.

"This is an English language website, no? If so, then the bigote was confusing to pretty much anyone who does not speak spanish. Yes, our bilingual brethern are intrinsically superior to us monoglots but a true bilingual would have seen the confusion coming and named his post something else. Since Ollie Irish stopped posting, the homepage of Bigsoccer has gone way down in quality" No llores cabron. It's always the "monoglots" who cry and complain about someone speaking something other than English. I speak English and Spanish, but I don't get upset when I hear someone speaking Chinese just because I don't understand it. Maybe it's a generational thing. Both my brother and I are crackers from Iowa, but both ended up as fluent Spanish speakers. Many college educated people under 35 can speak more than one language. It is fast becoming the mark of an educated person.
