Ray suffers from a combination of ADHD, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, and Pervasive Developmental Delay, and he is currently living in the Victorian Seaport city of Port Townsend, Washington with his common-law wife and love of his life since 1989, Alice Yantz.
He has been a Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders NFL Football fan since 1982, and a Los Angeles Kings NHL Hockey fan since 1975 (his family had season tickets from 1977-87, before they moved to Port Townsend from L.A. in 1987).
Lost his mother, Joanna, to brain cancer on August 15th, 2000, graduated from the notorious Erik and Joan Erikson Center for Adolescent Advancement and High School located in Tarzana, California, on June 15th, 1984, and ironically enough, was also a former classmate of and is inspired by legendary internet supermodel and actress, Cindy Margolis, who was referred to Erikson Center by Ray’s fellow Class Of 1984 co-graduate, the former Tracy Berg, back in 1983.
He enjoys in-line skating, bowling in league with Alice, recording in his studio, working on his computer, and doing preventative maintenance on both of his Volkswagens, and he also has a strong hatred towards all Republican politicians and their policies.
During his spare time, Ray enjoys listening to 1960s-70s classic and acid-trip/hippie/groovy/psychedelic rock, plus rap/hip-hop, R & B/funk/groove, punk/hardcore, speed/thrash/death and classic metal, and also classic and smooth jazz, all part of his impressive collection of over 2000 records (LPs and 45s), tapes (cassette and 8-track), CDs, MiniDiscs, VHS tapes, and DVDs.
He also owns a huge arsenal of equipment, gear, apparel, and accessories from brands like Case Logic, Storm, Sony, Nike, Starter, Everest, and Oakley among them, and also owns an extensive lineup of Atari 5200 video game cartridges, controllers, and accessories that he has been collecting since 1983, mostly acquired until 1987, or most recently, either through eBay, or other online sites.
Ray admits he is a hardcore Sony MiniDisc fanatic, he got turned on to that extremely popular audio recording and versatile multimedia storage format and its many various offsprings, including MD-Data, MDLP, Net MD, and Hi-MD, in 1998 by his a friend of his in the music business since 1994.Stats
